Warrant Singer -- Tax Cheat of the Week?!

Jani LaneThe Accused -- Jani Lane ... that singer dude from the '90s hair band Warrant.

The Debt -- $121,024

The Story -- The Detroit News dug up an IRS record stating Lane, the guy who sang "Cherry Pie" back in 1990, failed to pay federal income taxes for seven years ... that's seven years longer than the amount of time this guy was making money as a rock star.

Lane was busted earlier this week for suspicion of DUI in California.

2. I realize most of the TMZ staff were sperm back in the nineties (and many arguably still are), but Warrant was popular for several years.

3. Warrant was popular?
Not with anybody I knew back in the 80s and early 90s.

They had one good song 'Uncle Tom's Cabin'.

But in all fairness, Janie is a drunken joke and a perfect example of self parody.
Want him to be your new best friend?
Give him a pack of smokes and a bottle of Vodka.
LOL!

the dude is more famous for his drunken antics than he is for his mediocre songs.
LOL!

4. Wasn't this the guy who was on Celebrity Fit Club a while back and went on a terrible bender and they talked him into going to Rehab? Looks like his page lists tour dates for last year or something and if they occurred, it seems as if some funds should have been generated. Oh well.

5. For all of you who have an "opinion" let me make this perfectly clear .Jani is my Brother, he has a decease and all of the above accusations are just that..ACCUSATIONS". Why is it so easy to post a comment then to understand another's personal demons a/o problems . He has more talent in his fingertips than any of you "Slobbering wannabes" think you have in your comments. It's so much easier (and ignorant) to kick someone when they're down. None of you have to like his music, but you sure as Hell should respect the hard work it took to accomplish it all. What are you all doing, typing comments on TMZ.com. Jani named himself for the stage, not our Mom...back off my family. That shows the ignorance in your comments.

6. Hey I love Warrant! That was back in the day when I was in the Navy. These guys rocked...all of them. Give him a break and let him recover from his mistakes. Like as if any of you negative people have never made a mistake in your own life? Please.
KEEP ROCKIN IT JANI!
