Jackson Self-Injecting Demerol, Doctor Says

7/10/2009 1:08 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Michael Jackson Self-Injecting Demerol,A doctor who treated Michael Jackson claimed the singer self-injected Demerol into his system.

We've combed through tens of thousands of pages of the official file for the 2005 molestation trial. In the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's notes, a member of Jackson's security detail -- retired L.A. County Sheriff's deputy Michael Laperruque -- said some doctors were trying to get Jackson off of Demerol, and that one of the doctor's in Santa Barbara "was upset with JACKSON because he had been self-injecting."

Laperruque told detectives he had picked up Jackson's prescriptions for the singer, usually under the name Chris Carter. Carter was one of Jackson's bodyguards.

Laperruque also told detectives one time when he was at Neverland his job was to keep Jackson's family out because they were planning an intervention.

How sad! I wish the family would've forced the intervention like they did for Britney Spears! He'd probably still be alive today if they had, but they wanted to keep it a secret. At least Michael is in peace now with God.

Wow!
This is so sad. MJ must have really been tormented. You'd think he'd stop the drugs for his children's sake...but I guess the addiction was stronger than his parental responsibility.
I wonder why the family didn't call CPS since they knew of his living conditions and drug problems. Someone should have been more forceful in intervening.
RIP MJ and may God bless his children. I'm sure this is tramatic for them.

Hey... Do you guys think that Michael wanted to die...and this was perhaps an assisted suicide? Just a thought....

Why are the talented souls the most tormented?

By the way, I was just listening to MJ's Invincible CD...and the song Morphine is so eerie now that he's done...especially when he starts singing, "Demerol...Demerol...Oh God, now's he's doing Demerol." Wow!!!!

If they wanted to keep the intervention and rehab quiet, it could have been done. They sure have hell done a good job of keeping the location of his body secret!!!

#28---If he injected intramuscularly, it would take up to 30 min to start affecting him. If he was injecting IV, effect is almost immediate.

Just leave the dude alone! Let him rest in peace for gods sake. Think of his children. He was a druggie & obviously that was the cause of his untimely unfortunate death....so let him go.

So if they where trying to get him off of it??? who was writing the prescriptions for it?? He had to get it someplace to inject it himself...Next they will be telling us MJ had stolen the prescription pads and was writing his own. All these doctors and the phars that have him owing thousands of dollars for meds in one year... please, we are not stupid people. No one has a bill like that unless something is wrong and it was their duty to report it and not fill them.

To the person that said to watch Martin Bashir interview- No go watch Maury Povich that showed Martin Bashir interviewe and Michael Jackson same interview- Martin Bashir did not show the truth. Michael Jackson had camera rolling at the same time during Martin Bashir interview. I would not watch nothing Martin Bashir showed anymore- He does not show the truth- only what he wants people to believe. I am glad Michael Jackson had camer rolling the sametime or the truth about Martin Bashir would not have been known. Micheal Jackson was a nice person.

it seems there was a long term drug problem, the family tried to help as reported, this is a grown 50 year old and no one forced these drugs on him,he took them on his own,why not take lunesta or ambien and go to bed instead of these deadly drugs, without these kids in his life maybe he would have been had a even shorter lfe.

Yes he was a junkie.... BUT this needs to end... these doctors need to be accountable for... just like the drug dealers out on the street... they are no different.
