Christian Bale is now frail.
The 35-year-old -- who famously dropped 63 lbs for his role in "The Machinist" and then quickly bulked up for "Batman Begins" -- was spotted in Boston on Monday, once again working the heroin chic gaunt look to play drug addicted boxer Dicky Eklund in his latest film.
Hopefully an apple a day keeps the cinematographer away ... from walking into his scene.

Good use of Bale's starvation diet.
that speech impediment is more annoying than his tyrant rage...which indicates his tongue is probably short....
he wouldn't make a good lesbian. lol
He also got really skinny for the 2006 movie "Rescue Dawn." I wonder if he will suffer any health consequences from all of the weight changes and starvation diets.
All bow to the great actor.
Dennis Quaid did a better job losing for Doc Holliday role and wasn't an ass #&*# while doing it.
As a Lowell native, I cannot wait for The Fighter to be released. Micky Ward's story needs to be told. RIP Arturo Gatti!
I dont think he's sexy anymore...it wasn't cool how he treated that guy on set...and his voice in the Dark Knight movie really got on my freakin nerves....
Isn't that really bad for a person's heart? Gaining and losing weight like that?
I'm no doctor.... but I do read TMZ!
I wonder if he can say, "Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers"?
or Criss Angel or Carson Daly...or
*passing the spit guard*
He is losing the weight and had his hair thinned for the role in this movie. I saw Public Enemies last weekend and I think he did a better job that Depp. I am becoming a fan of this guy,
He's about to become furious at that apple. And where did he find acid-washed jeans?!
