Christian Bale Walks a Thin Line

Christian Bale is now frail.

The 35-year-old -- who famously dropped 63 lbs for his role in "The Machinist" and then quickly bulked up for "Batman Begins" -- was spotted in Boston on Monday, once again working the heroin chic gaunt look to play drug addicted boxer Dicky Eklund in his latest film.

Hopefully an apple a day keeps the cinematographer away ... from walking into his scene.

5. He also got really skinny for the 2006 movie "Rescue Dawn." I wonder if he will suffer any health consequences from all of the weight changes and starvation diets.

10. He is an attractive guy, he looks horrible in that picture. He really looks like an active drug user. I got to say he really got into character for this role. Maybe all the weight he lost for this film caused his hair to fall. HE LOOKS BALD....
