Gisele -- Hottest Pilot Ever

GiseleIn case of a water landing, your seat backs aren't the only thing that can be used as a flotation device.

Sources tell TMZ Gisele Bundchen is in the process of getting her helicopter pilot's license. We're told she's been taking lessons at the Marshfield Airport in Marshfield, Mass. for a couple of weeks now.

In order to complete her license, she'll need to complete 65 hours of flight time (at about $225/hr).

The friendly skies are about to get a lot friendlier.

It looks like she is joining the ranks of Kourtney Kardashian (being 6 mos. pregnant and jogging) and Nicole Richie (being up and out one week after giving birth). What is wrong with these pictures???

However, if she's pregnant, she will not be able to finish her flight training without a break. It will prevent her from flying very soon.

She's likely training in a Robinson R22, but even if it's a larger helicopter, she won't be able to fly for physical as well as safety reasons.

In fact, I doubt she's flying right now if she is pregnant. She's probably just taking ground instruction. Although I don't think the FAA has any restrictions against it, I find it hard to believe the flight school wouldn't be extremely nervous about the liability and safety of letting her take flight instruction while pregnant.

How interesting considering they just a deadly helicopter crash in NYC recently. Is that what inspired her? Wouldn't an abortion have been cheaper?

more like 80 hrs. helicopter training isnt that easy. the only way she would be able to do it in 60 hrs if if she is dedicated and flys everyday. the r22 is the most challenging aircraft in the world to fly.

The actual requirements for a pilots license is only 40 hrs, not 65 or 80, although most people do it in about 50-65.

Haha! I was thinking the same thing! I know pregnant women are not invalids but geez! Talk about taking a risk while your pregnant??!!
