Randy Quaid -- Cops Say

He's Done this Before

9/24/2009 3:06 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they believe Randy and Evi Quaid have a pattern of staying in pricey hotels and stiffing the joints when they leave .. and that's why authorities are trying to nail the Quaids for burglary.

There's an arrest warrant out for the Quaids for allegedly stiffing the San Ysidro Ranch near Santa Barbara out of thousands of bucks. Our sources say the reason there's a burglary warrant out for them is because cops believe when they rented the hotel room they had the intention of staying without paying -- and that fits the definition of burglary.

Our law enforcement sources tell us the reason they believe the Quaids were scamming the San Ysidro Ranch from the get-go is because they have evidence they've done it before. Our sources say the Quaids stiffed the uber-ritzy Bel Air Hotel in L.A., among other places.

In addition to burglary, the arrest warrant also lists the felony of defrauding an innkeeper.

We have been unable to reach Quaid.

UPDATE: Conspiracy is also listed on the Quaids' arrest warrants -- their bail is set at $20,000 each.

Why do some people think they are above the law? I say give them a few months or years in prison, they won't have to worry about paying for the bill. http://www.stupidrightwingers.com

Hotels always want my credit card information or cash up front when I check in. So how do you pull this off when they take your credit card info and verify it is good?

I don't get it. All hotels (especially fancy ones) require a credit card at check-in. If you stiff the place, they bill your card. Thought it was impossible to stiff a hotel.

Moose-and-Squirrel Meat Balls
(Especially useful recipe if main ingredients have been dead for 24 or more hours before harvested)

Three pounds, ground moose and squirrel, any proportion;
six slices soft white bread;
one-half cup water;
one-third cup butter;
one-and-one-third cups chopped onion;
salt and freshly ground black pepper;
two tablespoons chopped parsley;
two tablespoons flour;
one-and-one-half cups milk.

Soak bread in water five minutes. Squeeze excess water out. Melt four tablespoons butter in skillet. Sauté onion in butter until tender. Combine moose and squirrel meat, squeezed bread, four teaspoons salt, one-half teaspoon pepper and parsley. Form mixture into one-inch balls. Chill twenty minutes. Heat remaining butter in skillet. Brown moose-and-squirrel balls on all sides. Cover skillet and cook slowly 15 minutes. Remove balls to warm platter. Sprinkle flour over skillet droppings. Stir and cook one minute. Stir in milk and bring to boil. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Return moose-and-squirrel balls to skillet. Simmer four minutes.

This guy knocks the bottom out of his totally hot, Helmut Newton-nude-photographed wife in crappy hotel rooms, and then peels off without paying the tab! AMERICAN HERO!!!

How weird. Randy Quaid may not be A-list, but he has had a very full acting career and is a household name. While he might not be pulling in $20 million movie roles, I'll be he's got more than enough money to pay his hotel bills.

from Radar Online:
"Randy and Evi Quaid checked into the luxurious five star hotel the San Ysidro Ranch on June 13, 2009, the next day the Quaid's were notified by the hotel their credit card was declined. For several days the Quaid 's told hotel management that they were waiting for a new credit card to be sent to them in the meantime racking up several thousand dollars worth of charges,”

And we're surprised...why? Did no one else notice the small print notice about Michael Jackson renting the house where he died for $100,000 a month, but had not paid any rent since January '09? In fact, never paid ONE DIME in rent.
Six months without paying rent would have my sorry old ass out on the street...

I think you have him confused with his brother Dennis. Randy is no where or has he ever been an A LIst Celeb pulling $20 mil a film.
