Charlie Sheen, Brooke Mueller Have a Date

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller have a date with a judge sooner than they thought.

We've learned the judge in the case will hear the motion to modify the protection order on January 20. The hearing is set for 9:00 AM.

As we first reported, Brooke and Charlie want the order -- which now prohibits any contact whatsoever between Charlie and Brooke -- to be modified so they can have contact.

Also, as we reported, Brooke wants to come back to L.A. to try and work things out with Charlie -- something we're told he wants as well.

The prosecutor has not decided if he will file domestic abuse charges against Sheen.

They should both be charged with domestic assault ordered to counseling with a restraining order on both- then after that see if they still have a chance-getting away with their behavior will just set them up to do it again--even if she didn't contribute-which I doubt-she was to drunk to not have been part of it-girl needs to work on that-they need to stay apart until they get help-

Charlie has used up all his "get out of jail free" cards and needs to be incarcerated. Otherwise, he'll walk away thinking the problem was Brooke overreacting and calling the police. He'll probably 'punish' her (e.g. silent treatment, more beatings, etc...) when they're back together and browbeat her over the financial crisis she's caused (ala Hanes and hopefully CBS). And, the judge needs to think of the twins and what their future holds. Front row seats to their mother's beatings and abuse from their father is NOT in their best interest. Brooke needs to put on her big girl pants and end this now via DIVORCE and take those kids away like Denise did. Brooke should talk to Denise for some emotional support and help and guidance -- and encouragement that Brooke and her boys can come thru this ok. Please Brooke... don't go back to Charlie under ANY condition. It's not about just you anymore, you have two other precious lttle lives to protect. Don't let your fear make you do something that is NOT in the twins best interest.

Its easy to point fingers at each of them but the bottem line is that they are BOTH responsible for what happened. She was drunk when she called so her credibilty is questionable as well as his with his sorted past. Brooke calling Denise for advise would not serve a good person since Denise herself has morals of cheap prom date. Its just another story of 2 rich people acting like fools.

Recipe for disaster, if they are allowed to get back together without help! The prosecutor and the judge who have the power to make demands on the couple to get the needed help and counseling- or go to jail, or lose your children, should use this power for the sake of the children- then the safety of both parties, before someone ends up dead- how many times must we see this to know that this pattern ends up the same. I would not want to live with the fact that I could have made a difference. Why are folks confused? Rich or Poor domestic violence looks the same, and the children are the losers.
