'Jersey Shore' Kids

Drive Hard Bargain

1/24/2010 11:30 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

0124_jersey_shore_photo-1The "Jersey Shore" kids didn't fall off the pizza delivery truck yesterday -- TMZ has learned they have rejected MTV's salary offer for Season 2.

Sources connected with the negotiation say MTV offered Snooki, Pauly D, "The Situation" and the others each a $10,000 signing bonus and $5,000 an episode.

We're told the cast rejected the offer and made it clear -- they were negotiating "Friends" style ... everyone would get the same amount and it had to be a lot higher than MTV's offer.

Sources say MTV came back and doubled the offer -- $10,000 an episode. The cast hasn't responded to the offer.

It's still a bargain. The season finale of "Jersey Shore" was off the charts with 4.8 million viewers.

And, with some members of "The Hills" scoring north of $100,000 an episode, the "Jersey Shore" kids, frankly, should be holding out for a hell of a lot more than $10k.

We've also learned MTV has a contractual hold on the cast for another year, so technically Snooki and company have no right to renegotiate -- but it's done all the time with hit shows.

An MTV spokesperson would not comment on the negotiations and said the network has not made a decision on bringing the show back for Season 2. We're also told MTV has received thousands of tapes from would-be Guidos and Guidettes.

MTV could replace the entire cast and still have a bone head show. None of these greaseballs are going any where after this show, they all have zero talent

Snooki is the lone hold out, the rest are ready to sign. Snooki informed MTV that the Bahrain PGA was prepared to pay her $50,000 to be a ballwasher. What she doesn't know is that PGA stands for "Perverted God-Like Arabs" and they do not play golf.

On a serious note, the number of viewers does not matter...the sponsors pay the bills and they lost some big spenders in season one. The shows popularity did not make them leave, the desire to appear PC did...and that has not changed. If they don't replace them with some other big backers they can't make the payroll these kids want.

To the people who think the cast are uneducated well they are which doesn't say much about education. According to their bio's they all are college graduates from prestigious universities. I don't think the hills stars deserve that much more why cause they are snotty and have better stylists. I watched the hills once and they put me to sleep literally. They act like old hags and are just as much as degenerates.

To be brutally honest, they would be idiots to accept the first offer made to them. They are smart to hold out for more cash. Also, the people of the Hills have been on the air and pulling in viewers for years compared to JS. I would said $10k but no more than that. That $40k for the summer not to mention other deals they may get.
Someone before me mentioned they should bring back a new cast...sorry. No! I want to see the same people. RW and RR have a completely different premise. Those shows are all about the strangers. This show is just about spending time at the shore. IMO though, the lesser players should not come back. Vinny, Ronnie, and Sammi hardly had anything to do with anything. Especially Ronni and Sammi. By the end I was so tired of hearing Sammi say "like" before and after everything.

"Ronnie like said this was like all my fault. I don't even know why he could like say something like that to me."

ARGH!

DEAR INTERNET

TODAY THOSE KIDS FROM MTV WHO BROKE ALL MTV RECORDS THIS WEEK (THANKS IN PART TO MY DUMBASS) HAVE ASKED FOR MORE MONEY FOR THEIR SECOND SEASON.

JUST BECAUSE THEY BROKE ALMOST 30 YEAR OLD RECORDS DOES NOT MEAN I CAN STILL BE BITTER THAT ANYONE OTHER THAN ME IS SUCCEEDING IN LIFE.

SINCERELY

OMG! None of them currently have the potential to make $10,000 a year let alone an episode! I'm an Italian American and I think that this show is absolutely disgusting and shows us all how LOW the TASTE level of our society has reached...that we consider it ENTERTAINMENT to watch this show and make fun of and laugh at these uneducated teenagers making complete idiots of themselves on national TV...and they now are going to get rewarded and get a raise to continue to be laughing stocks for OUR AMUSEMENT...and they & everyone else thinks thats OK. How sad!
