The 55-year-old hit the surf in Hawaii on Monday and showed off his buff and lean and pale physique.

Quaid just needs some bronzer and a mound of gel and he's ready to join the "Jersey Shore."

I think these old guys are going to plastic surgeons to make it look like they have abs. Lately there have been a lot of old guys with fat looking abs and pale white skin. I say it's liposuction and implants (including the pecs).

I have to give him credit. At 55, he looks great. I don't think it's surgery!!! Most guys my age (20's) don't look like that!

Hope he's being healthy. He has admitted from suffering from anorexia nervosa during the time of "Caveman" and for years afterward. He looks more "fit" than skinny now, so, he might have come by it honest.

STOP bringing up those reality people on Jersey Shore!! All these people on reality shows are NOT stars or celebrities!! They are making way too much money for doing NOTHING!! Stop giving them the publicity they do NOT deserve!! This should have been about Dennis Quaid and ONLY Dennis Quaid...who IS actually a celebrity. The television shows on lately shows where are country is heading ....down the crapper!!
