Howard Stern: Leno Makes Me Wanna Puke

3/2/2010 11:00 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Howard Stern unleashed the fury all over Jay Leno this morning, brutally tearing into the "Tonight Show" host on a segment for the "CBS Early Show."

Howard Stern: Click to watch

One day after Leno returned to late night, CBS asked Stern for his thoughts, which went like this: "The mere mention of Jay Leno's name makes me wanna vomit. I don't like this guy."

Stern, who has a long gestating hatred of the talk show host, also referred to Leno as a "lap dog" and a "thief" ... once again accusing Jay of stealing material from himself, Letterman and even people in England.

Long story short -- don't expect Stern on "The Tonight Show" anytime soon.

That is exactly how I feel about Howard Stern - reportedly so do the majority of the people commenting this far.

Oh god, he's actually still doing the "they're ripping me off" schtick? Enough with him already!

A major point that gets overlooked is that Conans ratings were lower because you had two tonight shows on every night - Leno's version first at 10 pm and then Conans later - NBC split up the audience potential and destroyed both shows! Now that there is only one tonight show again, the ratings are magically back to normal. go figure. this pisses me off.

Conan should take some responsibility. Seven months is a long time to raise the numbers, stop whining. Can't stand the low life Stern, but good for Leno, back at home and doing well!!

No matter what you think of Howard Stern, he is absolutely right about Leno. Stern was having "quiz shows" with ignorant people on his show, and sending Stuttering John (who Leno magically signed as his announcer) out to the streets to interview people, long before Leno started doing Jaywalking, and the Jaywalk all-stars. Letterman was leaving the studio to go to businesses in the area and to talk to people long before Leno did it. When Leno started hosting the tonight show, and started doing his bits, my first thought was "What a rip-off this guy is. Can't he come up with anything original?"

Jay ruined the Tonight Show from the start. Didn't like the nasty kid attitude of Dave. Conan was a circus sideshow. Kimble comes across like a greasy cousin you can't get rid of. Ferguson can be funny when he's not pandering to his now living in the States.
The only one I've enjoyed is Jimmy Fallon. His show feels like good old style where the guests coming on are old friends getting together to catch again and we've been invited to listen in. Johnny Carson did this and it was why he was loved so long.
As for Stern. He was always a train wreck. It's why people listened.

Gotta love Howard, if you don't understand him, you probably need a few more lives to perfect yourself. As for Leno, selfish guy, acts weasel-like and I don't believe the guy would back anyone or anything. A man without children (unless you are a monk) are always selfish people. Never met a man that proved otherwise.

conan for life

stern never fails. love the guy. poor people without brains spoonfed opinions like "he says bad words. he must be a bad guy." news flash: life is offensive. look around. if you wanna blame someone blame leno for helping dumb down america with sugary hollywood narcissism while the world falls apart all around us. hes not even funny. stern is a champion of satire with unparalleled insight on the human condition. for once, i must thank tmz... for posting this.
