Macy Gray didn't try to hide it, but it's clear -- the "I Try" singer is in deep with a collection agency ... and it's all because she allegedly stiffed her publicity firm over $43,000.
According to docs filed last week in L.A. County Superior Court, Gray entered into a $2,000/month contract with a PR firm back in 2005 and racked up a $43,378.77 bill ... which she refused to pay.
The collection agency wants her to pay every cent, stat. So far, no word from Gray's reps.

(Page 1 of 1)For someone that has no talent at all, that is not surprising! Just a one hit wonder!
Probably won't pay because she actually believes shes a celebrity, and talented. She sucks. Always has...always will. give up already
You haven't heard from her reps due to the fact that she does NOT have any. She stiffed them also!
I wonder if the money was used to buy promotional posts on blogs like perez hilton. anyone know how much it costs to get mentioned there?
Are you kidding me?!
All of you are ignorant, uneducated, and thoughtless. Go back to the days of Nina Simone, Billy Holiday, and Sarah Vaughan. Macy is one of the ONLY remaining singers that continues to bring that style. Her voice is vintage.
It's because of retards like you that radio has a 4 song playlist.
