Michael Lohan's lawyer has just sent TMZ a statement, saying unless Lindsay Lohan and her lawyer sit down and talk to her dad about the obvious problems, they will go to court to force the issue.
Attorney Lisa Bloom says it's clear Lindsay has a problem ... with photos surfacing nightly of Lindsay clubbing and appearing "under the influence of alcohol or substances."
Bloom says Michael will take "any and all appropriate legal action to save and protect his daughter."
As for what legal options ... Bloom says she's not foreclosing anything.
Bloom adds ... if Lindsay doesn't meet with Michael in the next few days, "Michael is prepared to pursue other legal action towards his one and only goal: to save and protect his daughter."

im starting to believe Michael Lohan. i do think he wants to help his daughter and i hope he does. the mom doesnt seem to be stepping up so someone has 2. go get her dad!!!!!
I might have beleived this if it were not played out in the gossip columns everyday. But as I read these new entries I have to think this man is just as big a fame whore as his ex-wife and his ex-BFF Jon G. I hope LL gets the help she needs, but I don't see this man as a positive influence.
The guy is just trying to save his daughter's life. We don't stop loving our children just because they become legal adults.
I can't believe that this venal, hostile man is after anything but money and fame. If he gets Lindsay's money he will blow through it in a week. And its only a matter of time before he gets physically abusive with his kids, and probably his new wife . . . he has some kind of problem with women in general.
Someone from the LAPD must be feeding him info from back in March when they were about to issue an involuntary psychiatric hold on Lindsay (code 5150).
If Mike can get that accomplished and the psychiatric eval comes back with results that merit conservatorship, then Lindsay will be placed squarely under the control of her father.
If she doesn't want that to happen, she had better lay low for a while.
