'Lost' Spoiler -- Where Jack Ends Up

5/12/2010 12:40 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

With the series finale in 11 days, Matthew Fox is finally getting off the remote "Lost" island and moving to ... this house in a remote section of Oregon.

0910_media_removed_Lindsay_Lohan2

The 43-year-old purchased this $1.5 million home on over 10 acres of property on the outskirts of Bend, Oregon (population 77,780).

After "Lost," Fox has said he's done working in television ... assuming he can get reception, he'll at least have a lot of space to watch TV.

Population 52,000? I live in Bend. What happened? Did the other 30,000 people leave while I was asleep??

Feebee, you must not have lived in Bend because it rarely rains here. You must be thinking of snow. It's white.

Welcome to Oregon Matt. Im glad you and other stars are starting to realize that anywhere in Oregon would be a much better place to live than that **** hole down sotuh that we call LA.

52,000? Try 84,000....and remote? Huh??? Nice fact checking, TMZ.

No where near the Roloffs and "if he can get reception?" Are you kidding me? 52,000 people live there, not 52. Yes, the recession has hit hard here (lots of jobs in construction), but poorest part of the country? Ha! Get your facts straight(hmmm...Detroit, or Buffalo maybe)! You're just bitter because you too probably bought at the peak of the market and you have a bigger mortgage than what your home is worth.

You dummies (TMZ):

Bend is not some backwater. Do your homework.

Bend's population is about 82,000, not 52,000...not that it matters much, except if you're going for accuracy.

1. The Roloffs don't live anywhere near Bend. They're about 3.5 hours away.

2. Fox paid $1.5 million for the lot in 2007, not $2.5 million. He bought at/near the top of the market.

3. This lot is right on the edge of Bend in the exclusive Broken Top community. This isn't a remote area and, while it's not LA, Bend isn't some rinky dink city. Whoever wrote the piece for TMZ either wanted to sensationalize where Fox is moving or has never been to Bend. The street Fox is building on has a few houses already in place between 4,000 and about 9,500 SF.

His house is in the same swanky development as Drew Bledsoe's - it's hardly "remote". http://www.visitbend.com/

I thought than dimwit Evangeline Lilly was going to quite acting as well. I thought she was tired of everyone thinking she was just too pretty. Guess not. Just heard she signed up for the new Hugh Jackman movie. Damn her! Go away. You can't act!!

Sorry Katie, I didn't mean to put down Bend.. the countryside was beautiful, it was just more rain than I was used to at the time.

Aileen, as soon as I saw the picture I thought the exact same thing - "yuck, that's a lot of money for a home that looks like a motel.."

I think everyone is missing the point of this story. Is Matthew Fox returning to Bend, OR to be near that stripper that he had the fling with back earlier this year? Why is noone mentioning that?

Yah that nasty stripper lives in Bend, He is an idiot. Everyone knows that you need a penicillin shot before going into the Stars here in Bend worst Strip club in Oregon. Bend is great the economy not so much anymore, I can see why he moved here but not for that ugly stripper. Most the really hot women are married with kids not in the clubs.
