Jay-Z's Private Jet -- So Worth Getting Sued Over

Not only does Jay-Z NOT own this aircraft, neither does Air Platinum Holding. APH is a broker who contracted with an actual operator to "rent" Jay-Z the plane, which he likely paid too much for anyway by going through a broker in the first place. I'm constantly amazed at how ignorant the general public and the media are about the aviation industry.

First of all hench you are an idiot ,secondly this "lame" as you refer to him earned every cent he has , he`s sold over 50 million records & just because you`ve never heard any one of his songs doesnt mean **** , ive never heard a miley cyrus song but you wont find me complaining over how much money she has made of off that buy her records . Thirdly this guy built his businesses from the ground up , no record lable would sign him so he started his own , the same with his clothing line which he sold in 2007 for over 200 million . In closing noone to say he is undeserving of all his wealth is stupid & defys logic

Maybe he only wanted to pay for the actual flying hours, instead of on board hours. Wish commerical airline coach seats looked that comfortable.

Wow.. sounds like a lot of people are HATING! Those with the negative comments don't even know the FULL story. Just as one INFORMED commentor stated (Mike) You PRE PAY for these services. If Jay-Z were truley excepting services (that should be paid for) and not paying, don't you think we would hear from MORE companies trying to get their money?

Surely you haven't seen Rush Limbaugh's Private Jet. By far no comparison.

Here's the 411 on this BS: Jay Z's business people booked this G-IV (don't get so psyched on it; it's an older 1987 model and wasn't decked out special for Jay Z - it's certainly not "baller"). The company that is suing is run by a deadbeat who screwed up the charter contract, so Jay Z's people rightfully cancelled the rest of flights and refused to pay for the flights that weren't taken. The charter company, which had the G-IV repossessed from them from non-payment of insurance and lease payments shortly thereafter, owes money to many catering, fuel and other aviation industry companies. The charter company also took $500k from one client for pre-paid charter, never flew him even 1 hour, and never paid him back even 1 cent. This Jay-Z lawsuit is just a publicity stunt because this charter guy is a crook!
