The people behind "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" have their sights set on former tennis star Jennifer Capriati and are willing to pay a pretty penny to get her to sign ... TMZ has learned.
Sources say "Rehab" producers are in talks with Capriati -- who accidentally overdosed on prescription meds last month -- and are willing to pay her top dollar to make her their ace in the hole for the upcoming season.
Although nothing is set in stone right now, we're told Capriati would be the big star the show desperately needs, since it's only landed B-teamers like Tila Tequila, Shauna Sand, and Jason Wahler.

16 years ago, I was behind her in line at the DMV in Temecula, CA?...she was applying for a driver's license...she totally cheated on the test...her boyfriend took the test for her and they got caught...why was she in Temecula of all places??? She looked bad then, but made somewhat of a comeback...feel sorry for her...

Debbie, that's impossible. Sixteen years ago Tila was only 12 years old. She wouldn't have been taking a driver's test. Also, she lived in Texas at that time.

The whole point to getting into rehab is to "get into it" these f list actors have been waiting months for this show to even start taping. I call bull****. If they needed help waiting is not an option. If they craved attention then yes it is...

I hate how they throw around the word "accidental." There's nothing accidental about someone popping pills until they overdose. She purposely took those pills. The fact that she overdosed on them is purely her choice.
Stop softening the truth. By saying it's accidental they are saying the doctor gave her prescriptions with the incorrect dosage amount. It reflects badly on the doctor and not the patient who obviously know's the correct dosage that the doctor prescribed.
I'm sure the prescription didn't read take as many as you want, whenever you want, anywhere that you want ! It is what it is an overdose !

Dr. Drew is nothing but a media whore, I used to like the guy and respect him (as much as one can like and respect someone who you only hear on the radio) but this celebrity rehab thing is really BS. I don't think that the needs of the patients are really being met by having them taped for TV. Even non-actors ham it up for the camera, I can only see this being worse for people who used to be famous and are addicted to the spotlight as well as drugs, they sublimate one need for the other.

"Dr" Drew is a pathetic self absorbed quack and this show is some of the lamest reality crap on TV. Someone remind me why this crap hasn't been canceled yet? I mean really!? How lame does it have to get before it jumps the shark? A washed up tennis star from the '80s is the big talent they need for this season to be a go??????
