TMZ has learned ... Lindsay Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, has resigned as LiLo's lawyer.
TMZ called Holley for comment on a story we're working on, and she informed us she is no longer repping Lindsay. Sources tell us Holley resigned earlier today.
As for who Lindsay will be hiring ... we're told she's a brand new lawyer, Tiffany Feder-Cohen, who was just admitted to the bar in November.
As for what Lindsay wants her to do ... stay tuned. We'll tell you shortly.

Yeah, #1, I sure bet it was the FU nail treatment. Good for that lawyer - leave with one little piece of dignity intact.
First SMART move Shawn Chapman Holley ever made regarding LiLo. She's a lost cause. I pity her brand new lawyer....she should not only walk, but RUN from the next chapter in this story
Where is that pit bull when you need it?? For God's sake - go to jail already.
wow! Just when you can't think she can top herself she goes and does something stupid like this. Next thing she will do is say she is being treated this way because of her race.
Helps her get to jail then quits. What a p.o.s. Lawyers suck. I'm she cashed the checks though.
Typical lawyer tactic; get teh PR, lose, write a book.
Nice going .
Both women are train wrecks; one can't help it and the other by choice....take your pick.
It's about time she resigned. She deserves a medal for putting up with Lindsay this long. Of course, Lindsay will blame her jail and rehab time on Holley, never believing her own actions put her in this mess.
Did she quit or was she fired? Seems like thats what Lindsey does when she doesn't like something, even when its her own fault. Always the victim huh LiLo. I'm sure your lawyer told you to doodle on your nails. Not so smart are you?
Her old lawyer had too much class to deal with the trash that is Lindsey. I think the fingernail statement showed no respect for the court or her lawyer. I don't blame her for quitting. No one wants to represent a loser.
