LeBron James -- I'm In Miami, B*tch

7/9/2010 10:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Hours after screwing the city of Cleveland like a cheap hooker, LeBron James arrived in Miami early this morning ... to a chorus of cheers from the only people who still like him.

Fans went crazy when he landed around 2:30 AM today, showing up at the W Hotel after flying via private jet.

Flying private is an act of cowardly betrayal against the good people of the commercial airline business.

People really don't use their brains much, how can you hate on the guy for giving 7 years of dedication, charity, and some glimmer of hope to a town that's full of band wagon fans, if you're a really fan you hate to see them leave but you wish them success and thank them for giving you the good times. Who burns jerseys and throws rocks at murals, are there palestinians living in Cleveland wtff????
Bron did what any business man needs to do, after 7 years of loyalty to the ingrates in Cleveland he needs to take care of his own business and family, f@ck what people think this is a business not a popularity contest .. either way Bron will be a Hero in Miami and have 3 to 4 rings in the next 5 years .. the haters can enjoy that

As a proud person form ohio let me clear some things up,
LeBron does owe cleveland something- he owes them his respect. This is the team that gave him his start. They made him who he is. They didn't deserve to find out about it on national television. He has every right to swtich teams.. he did leave the team unfinished, but he has to sleep with that at night. He did it in a sellout, jackass way. Cleveland is going to win that championship without him- getting the other players involved for a change. He is a great player, and he did great things for Cleveland, and for that we are grateful. We just wanted respect.

The End.

@67 - How would it have been possible for LeBron James to announce his decision to the city of Cleveland before it was announced nationally? What could he do? Uh, come gather around the table Cleveland, look 'a here, it's been great playing here, but... That kind of news would've stayed on the low until the big announcement? That is just not realistic. He was respectful - I know I'm not from Cleveland - but I'm not from Miami either, so I'd like to think of my viewpoint as neutral. This is not the first time a contract ended and a player became a free agent and a change of teams followed. You say that Cleveland is the team that gave him his start and that is true, isn't it also true that our parents gave us our start in this world, but that doesn't mean that we never leave home. I know it's a bit different, but the same kind of concept. I believe LeBron will always love you, why can't you do the same for him?

@72 - LeBron could have just made his decision and moved on without the huge media hype he created. He didn't have to insist upon a special hour long announcement on ESPN and he certainly could have called the Cavs and told them himself. He didn't have to embarass the city of Cleveland on national television the way he did. Wade just issued a press release that he was staying and LeBron could have just issed a press release that he was leaving. People aren't nearly as upset about the fact that he is leaving as they are about the way he went about it. Quite simply, as 67 said, it's about respect. LeBron, the self-appointed "King" needs to get over himself. He punked out, plain and simple.

This is nothing more than "modern-day slavery." LeBron is a free man to make his own decisions. There are a number of leaches who were just using LeBron. Hell, Shaq, Kobe, Wade, etc. fly on private jets all the time and LeBron can't? Wow, this is so mindblowing. LeBron gave the Cavs & Cleveland 7 good years of his life with no real help around him until the last couple of years to thwart his thinking in hope that he will stick around & allow others to pimp him longer for their own self-gratification. I wonder why, New Jersey & New Orleans don't hold Shaq to same backwards thinking as Ohio with LeBron. I wonder why Philly don't hate on Kobe for choosing to be a Lakers, like Ohio to LeBron: because they don't have a slave mentality as if they own talent who were born in their state. LeBron seems to be the last & only hope of that God-forsaken place. LeBron is Free, LeBron is Free! To hell with the haters of Ohio & New York who were looking to pimp him in order to line their own pockets. LeBron owe you people NOTHING!

@74 - I definitely respect what you're saying. I just do not believe that it was LeBron's goal to embarrass Cleveland, I'm sure a city that he will always love. Isn't it possible that it was not his personal demands or completely his idea to have an hour announcement - when clearly it didn't have to take all of that time - he was probably offered an hour, due to all of the anticipation of questions and talk that would follow his announcement. Don't you feel like you have to respect a man for making a decision that is in the best interest of him and his family? If you take yourself and the city of Cleveland out of it and look at him as a young man simply choosing what he wants to do? All of the hoopla comes with the territory when you are an athlete of his caliber. He is a celebrity even beyond basketball, he has been on the red carpet for events that have absolutely nothing to do with basketball and he has been given awards for the sport he plays so well, so the sensationalism is yearned for, thus the "huge production" of letting us all know what he would decide. Many people were waiing all week for his announcment and made sure they were available at that time to see it.

tmz shut the hell up..stop talking bout loyalty...he stayed there for 7 damn years..thats loyalty..because he moved on now you guys want to piss on his name, screw all you FAKE fans, because all of his real fans still respect his decision and stand by his side, and you wouldn't be bitching if he came to the lakers, you'd be all on his nuts
