Lindsay Lohan: I Can't Be Alone in Jail!

7/12/2010 6:10 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Lindsay Lohan is scared of jail -- not because of the other inmates ... not because the food is crappy .... but because she cannot stand being alone and thinks jail will push her over the edge.

Sources close to Lindsay tell us Lindsay is climbing the walls because of the prospect of jail.  We're told she can't stand being confined to small spaces, and she can never be alone.

It's so bad that when Lindsay flew back from France in May, she asked a friend to fly from L.A. to Paris, just so she would have someone to fly home with her.

As we first reported, if Lindsay is locked up at Lynwood -- Paris' ol' stomping ground -- she'll be placed in a cell by herself ... and she doesn't think she can take it.

i can remember growing up watching her movies, i mean teen age drama queen, mean girls , ext. and what happened to that Lindsey? i guess things change as you grow older but your still young, you shouldn't have life handed to you on a silver platter. you gotta grow up and face the real world because reality is finally hitting and when it hits its gonna hit hard!

If you are sentenced to a DUI, you don't get to leave town and party in France. Getting Ambien in jail and adderall, is that normally done for prisoners? Adderall is to focus on things, what is she focusing on, taking her Ambien? Actors and Actresses do not go to school, get 3 hours on the set, they are home schooled in their hotel rooms or apts in Hollywood. They make it big and when they get old enough, some of them decide they want to go to college. Do they go to any college, no, they want to go to Brown, Princeton, NYU, the ivy leagues. Do they get in, YES. Why, I don't know. They can't write an essay, put a sentence together, did not work as hard as students with over 4.0 averages. They have money and connections. We all know that Gwenyth Paltrow wanted to get into UCLA and her marks were bad from HS, (if she had any marks) and Michael Douglas was on the board of UCLA and got her in! And so, she was able to start her career by going to school as her family wanted her to in LA. Hey Michael, my daughter need you to get into UCLA, shes gorgeous, her marks are great, but UCLA still has no openings for everyone even if you do well in school. Can we get your help too! It seems everyone in show business has put their child or neice or nephew in show business. Julia Roberts has stuck her niece in everything she could so she can make money, I feel sorry for those kids trying to make it in hollywood who don't have relatives in the BiZ. They get trained right on screen without a shred of ability. Lindsay Lohan has gotten every single break imaginable. Her father complaining about her treatment is laughable, he too blames everyone and everything for her punishment. Come on, get real, talk to parents whose "regular" kids get a dui, get caught using drugs or selling drugs and see what punishment is meted out to them and how much the parents have to pay for lawyers, when they truly cannot afford it. If you show business parents won't or can't take over handling your kids, then let the courts do their job. The regular parents try to put their children in rehab at $40 thousand dollars a month and their kids can walk out the next day. The parents are still stuck with the $40 grand. Can regular parents do that, NO. So stop griping Mr. Lohan, and Mrs. Lohan, and Ms. Lindsay, take the little punishment the courts are handing out and shut up.

Lindsay is ill. Addiction is a disease and she needs recovery and rehab not jail. People are addicted to alcohol too but no one puts them in jail and tests them for booze in their system. why? Because alcohol is a "legal" drug. There are prescription drugs that people are addicted too. And they drive while taking those scripts. They are legally DUI but there isn't the stigma attached as with Cocaine and illegal drugs. The system is broken. We need to send addicts to rehab not jail. We shouldn't be punishing them for a disease. Get well girl.
