Something is sure is fishy about the whole thing! Mel was married to Robin for over 20 years, this is the first we are hearing of this. Abuse doesn't happen overnight! He may be an ass, but is he a beater? She sure seems to be smiling it up for the cameras too. I'm with Team Mel.

# 4, people that are undecided or unsure don't have to vote. While I agree with you, I think the poll is merely to extract the opinion of that segment of the population that has actually formed an opinion.
The abuse issue is being overshadowed by the extortion issue, and the mass majority seem to be of the opinion that it was more uncool for Oksana to release information ROL than it was for Gibson to MELtdown.
There is a reason why rats are deserting the ship, and I doubt it has much to do with refusal to work on contingency. I also don't think TMZ had to run a poll to figure out the opinion of their readers based on the comments.
If anything, I would guess that TMZ is being kind to Gibson while calling out Oksana. My next best guess is that Oksana shopped the tapes to TMZ and TMZ had to sign a confidentiality agreement upfront.
I do find the difference between TMZ's and ROL's reporting interesting to say the least. A reasonable explanation for how TMZ is handling this is that they must have some sort of inside information that skewed their position, Otherwise, they would have crucified Gibson and scooped ROL (or at least have consistent stories).

The truth is that all of the audio recordings were altered. The altered audio recordings prove only that someone taped someone else who sounded like Mel Gibson then edited the audio recordings hundreds of times.
Had those been true and correct audio recordings of actual conversations, Oksana Grigorieva now cannot overcome the fact that she tampered with evidence.
Had those been true audio recordings, Oksana Grigorieva failed to submit them to police until long after she attempted to use the heavily altered and edited audio recordings as an inducement for Mel Gibson to give her money.
Oksana Grigorieva now cannot overcome the fact that she has committed extortion.
There are no 911 phone calls from the date which Oksana Grigorieva claims she and her baby were hit.
There are no medical reports from an Emergency Rooms or private doctors which show that Oksana Grigorieva took her infant daughter in after being hit.
If it were true that their infant daughter were struck by Mel Gibson, Oksana Grigorieva cannot overcome the fact that she will face a charge of criminal endangerment and criminal neglect of her infant daughter.
There are no medical reports from an Emergency Rooms or private doctors which show that Oksana Grigorieva took herself in after being hit.
There is a report from a long time friend of Oksana Grigorieva's and dentist reporting that Oksana Grigorieva made a claim that Mel Gibson knocked off her veneers. But the dentist further reported that it was impossible for Miss Grigorieva's veneers to have been knocked off her teeth as Grigorieva reported.
In other words, the dentist and long time friend of Oksana Grigorieva stated very clearly that Oksana Grigorieva lied.
Oksana Grigorieva cannot overcome the fact that she is willing to perjure herself even to her friends for financial gain.
Oksana Grigorieva lost a second PR agent today, bailing out of Oksana's sinking row boat.

For those who initially missed hearing the blatant signs that the recordings are all phony, there is a video where someone has presented clear cut evidence edit by edit.
Regardless of your personal feelings, altered audio recordings / altered evidence / tampered evidence do not meet the strict standards required for them to be entered as legal evidence.
Prior to releasing the tapes to the public, Grigorieva also attempted to use the tapes in an extortion attempt, which is also a crime.
