Montanahank. If you cannot act like an American adult and respect the liberty of all Americans, pack up your banjo, your jug of moonshine and take your wife/sister/cousin that you are having sex with and move to the Middle East with the other terrorists.

Well, I guess Arnold has finally found his "girly men."

The VOTE of the people in the USA is no longer respected or considered. TWICE the people of CA have voted against gay marriage successfully only to have it trumped by ONE judge? These are scary times indeed! The voice and strength of the people is diminishing steadily.

Tax payer money shouldn't go to support a chosen, dangerous, and backward life style. Boys and girls shouldn't be raised by two gay men or two gay women. Period. Children NEED the balance of heterosexual parents. Sorry. It's psychologically and sociologically proven. Period.

Notice that "a federal judge" made this change not the people of California. I thought in the United States of America the people of the democracy were to decide how the country is to run...not just one person.

That means our country is now a kind of dictatorship state. We are on a dangerous and historically disastrous path when an individual can change the country

Okay. This is NOT rocket science. The laws that any states enact such as prop 8 and Arizona's SB 1070 have to pass constitutional muster. Basically if the law violates the US Constitution then it is struck down no matter how many people approved it or how many times they approved it. Basically the states can give you MORE freedom than the US constitution but they cannot give you less.
Now if you want things being forced down your throat. The city I live in had the citizens vote on whether they wanted recycling. The citizens voted against it. Guess what the city council did? They put in the recycling program. So why did they even bother to waste all that time and money having citizens vote when they had already decided?
As for same sex marriage? Why are all these morons concerned? If this is some religious thing,and it is, then perhaps these bible thumpers should look the other way and if this is such an abomination in God's eyes, then I am sure God is quite capable of taking care of things. You know the old Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged? Basically it is not up to me to enforce God's laws. He is quite capable of doing the job all by himself.

I don't think ANY marriage should be awarded extra rights, benefits,discounts or status not given to single people.

I am confused as to why there are so many people quoting the bible as reasons why gay people should not be able to get married? Are church and state two seperate things? If you are religous then you have the right to go to church and worship as you see fit, it is not your place to judge how others live their lives so stop acting like it is. How other people live their lives is none of your business.

All people should have the right to marry if they choose to and should be able have the same rights and heterosexual people do when filing benfits at work.
