Oksana Grigorieva Will Sue Mel Gibson

9/16/2010 2:10 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Oksana Grigorieva will file a lawsuit against Mel Gibson alleging -- among other things -- battery, emotional distress and defamation ... TMZ has learned.

0916_oksana_lawyers_EX_01

Sources tell us Oksana has hired Martin Garbus and Daniel Horowitz  ... two formidable lawyers who have been around the block in celebrity cases. Garbus has defended Robert Redford, Al Pacino, and Spike Lee -- and both he and Horowitz rank among America's top litigators.

We're told Garbus and Horowitz will represent almost all things Oksana -- they will be her reps in connection with the domestic violence investigation as well as the extortion probe.

In addition to the civil suit, we're told Garbus and Horowitz will represent Oksana in her music career -- specifically, they will challenge Gibson, who they claim is blocking the release of Oksana's music.

As for the civil battery case against Gibson -- sources tell us the plan is to file it by the end of the year.

Hi Curious, Hi Muppet,

Problem with using IP is defeats anonymity. Don't many have dynamic IPs anyway that keep changing? I think my ISP uses dynamic IPs. I'm not in IT but I believe one can set it up to use emails, but not allow repeated usernames. It just looks it up and if that username has been taken it just refuses to allow registration until the registeree (whatever?) picks another username.
--------------------------------------------------------------

Either way (dynamic or static) your IP can only be traced back to a relative area (ie: some IP's can be traced to a "transfer station" like place... once i traced an IP to a street name, but was named so by the ISP as a registered area)

publicly displaying IP's are an invasion of privacy since hackers can further trace an IP...

Hi IA. Good point, and I agree. Otherwise, posters can pretend to be more than one poster as well -- even with junk e-mail accounts. Once a name is used/registered, no one should be able to use it again...at least for a certain length of time.

I WILL do some sit-ups today, I will, I must!
I have put on a couple pounds since I joined this board!
Do they sell ellipticals with embedded computers that are powered by the workout itself?
If I had to be exercising in order to be surfing here I would get super fit!

Afternoon all. ROL actually posted an almost anti-Oxy thread today. Maybe the charm is wearing off.

Hm, you know, the more I think about it, the more I think the iceholes have screwed themselves if their purpose is to cause dissension.

We pretty much know who the SNERTS are by now, so they don't count. The rest of us have all gotten along; even when we've disagreed on stuff, we've done it respectfully. Sure, there's been a few spats, but they blow over. So I think if we saw, for example, Crazymom suddenly attack Fuddy or Muppet, we could safely assume that was an Icehole.

The only wild card might be Sweetheart, but she's very difficult to imitate well.

And if the purpose is to seed disinformation, for whatever reason, that is equally shot to hell because we all do our own digging and post the supporting links to what we find.

So, yeah. Not gonna sweat the Iceholes.

@Genna
...or any length of time. It is good to have the uniqueness that way. Have you noticed how when registering with yahoo or google or any of those popular ones it is hard to pick a username that hasn't been used? Usually I have to try several times and keep picking a different username before it accepts.

@Squeaky Shoes
Hey! What do you have against geeks here? I take it personally! ;))) I'm proud to be a geek. Now don't call a geek a nerd or vice-versa, you could get in trouble...

Hi Bruno...thanks for that info.

Per ROL:

"Grigorieva is fighting the Oscar winning actor/director, the father of her nine-month old daughter Lucia, for a slice of his half-million dollar fortune after their bitter split earlier this year."

"Half-million" dollar fortune? Who writes this stuff? LOL.

According to the article, Kris the bodyguard, is represented by attorney Martin Garbus. Martin Garbus is the attorney that has just been hired by the Ox to represent her.

fudddy... Well it kind of makes you wonder now about the integrity of that statement By the BodyGuard Group doesn't it? So that being said why would they consider working for OxSnity still considering the revelations of this guy? Makes you wonder about the motives behind this doesn't it

Good morning all!

Way behind on reading but looking back over what has happened in the last week that is public, it makes more sense what the ugly break up with the criminal attorney may have been about. They most likely learned of these threats as well and talked to Ox about it. Then this release that she would file a civil suit was done to offset the revelation of the bodyguard threatening the witnesses.

I always thought there was something fishy about why the bodyguard group did their press release and plastered all the Ox photos on their website.

I'm hoping things will start quickly coming to a head and pop soon.

EXCLUSIVE: Oksana Will Get $200m From Mel, Claimed Bodyguard

The rogue bodyguard who is alleged to have threatened the life of Mel Gibson's mistress Violet Kowal claimed Oksana Grigorieva would soon be worth $200 million, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
The stunning revelation comes as Grigorieva moves to swiftly to distance herself from the man who threatens to jeopardize her high-stakes legal case against the Lethal Weapon star.
"The man said, 'It would be good to have Oksana on their side because soon she would be worth $200 million dollars'," said a source, with knowledge of the case.
"He suggested it would be the 'best feeling in the world' to move into a house in Santa Monica with a $100 million check in her pocket.
"Violet thought this to be a clear seducement from the bodyguard, intimating that Oksana would pay her if she cooperated by providing information and intelligence on Mel, from during their affair."

Grigorieva is fighting the Oscar winning actor/director, the father of her nine-month old daughter Lucia, for a slice of his half-million dollar fortune after their bitter split earlier this year.
As RadarOnline.com first revealed, Kowal, the Polish porn star who alleged a steamy three-month affair with Gibson, has spoken to the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department, alleging the man made threats of violence.
He allegedly threatened to have Kowal and her bodyguard, Nikko Riley, killed by police who he said were in his pocket, it has been claimed.
The bizarre comments were captured on secret audio tapes, RadarOnline.com has learned; those tapes were played to Gibson's criminal defense attorney, Blair Berk, last month.
Said the source: "This man also claimed to be one of President Obama's personal detail and said if Violet turned over her evidence against Mel, he could personally guarantee Violet would be parachuted into a high-profile movie role by his top Hollywood contacts."
RadarOnline.com has learned Grigorieva immediately contacted the bodyguard on Saturday after learning the potential scandal was set to explode.
The bodyguard reportedly denied to her that he made the treats or inducements, we're told.
In an exclusive statement to RadarOnline.com, Grigorieva protested her innocence and independence from the man, but acknowledged he was "a friend".
"She (Oksana) has no knowledge of the allegations in the article and never told anyone to do anything such as is alleged of her," the Russian musician's rep, Steve Jaffe, told RadarOnline.com.
"She has no knowledge of what he, who she says is just a friend, ever did as reported or is alleged to have done.
"She said that she has never paid him a penny to help her and that he offered to drive her a couple of times to appointments when the paparazzi was following her."
In a report on Thursday -- more than 14 hours after RadarOnline.com's exclusive revelation -- it was claimed the bodyguard is also being represented by Grigorieva's new attorney, Martin Garbus.
However, Jaffe told RadarOnline.com: "Mr. Garbus told the reporter, that he represented Grigorieva, and that the allegations about her are untrue."
Grigorieva has claimed the Oscar winning actor/director assaulted her, leaving her with chipped teeth and bruised face.

LOl When did the bodyguard group start use the word "BULLIES" in big bold letters on their site? Has it been that way and I never noticed or was it add after they came here to TMZ to start trouble? Oxy's poor child looks down right miserable in those pics they have on their site.
