Tareq and Michaele Salahi -- We Prefer 'Alleged'

10/2/2010 10:40 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Tareq and Michaele Salahi prefer you call them "alleged" White House party crashers -- so today (just to be safe) we can say they are auctioning off the alleged dress Michaele allegedly wore when she and her alleged husband allegedly crashed the White House.

As we first reported, the dress is being put up for auction by The Potomack Company, an all-female owned auction house, with a percentage of the sale to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund.

UPDATE: The dress ended up selling for $7,000. A rep from The Potomack Company tells us the company will be "donating a matching commission to the same two charities." Not allegedly.

However, I think all the whole act of being "shocked shocked shocked" that people perceive her White House party incident as "crashing." Let's face it. She and her husband did crash it. Hiding behind some story about an email invitation seems fishy. I highly doubt the White House would extend an invitation to a State Dinner via email! If it was not an unauthorized breach of security-then why was the FBI or Secret Service involved? Why did people loose their jobs if it was not a breach of security? The truth is that it was and it was a stunt pulled to get publicity and attention. It worked! We are STILL Talking about it today! Everyone knows Michaele and her husband for it. They are famous for crashing a party. Trying to hide it is really annoying a BS. I think they should just face it and say yes they crashed the party and yes they did it for attention. It is pretty obvious to everyone else in America. Michaele and her husband Tariq are attention whores! Period!

Also, the nicey nice sarcastic veneer she exhibits to the attacks is just as bad as the attacks. If she wants to defend herself-then defend. All this blather about loving oneself and having love in your heart and such is BS. She responds with sarcasm and deflecting comments with a forced smile and firing back self-righteousness is really inauthentic. I think she believes she is trying to rise above it all, but she just looks just as mean and nasty as the rest of them and I do not believe she is a happy, loving person. I think she acts shocked at the attacks and the bullying, but I believe she secretly loves and even relishes the attention.

Her comments about having a husband and some of the others not-is nasty. She is hiding her identity around her husband. She should just answer the attacks and not just counter with self-righteousness. I believe she has a sinister mean streak and is very socially ambitious, but tries to hide it. It is all rather sociopathic. At the end of the day, I think the Salahi;s are attention seeking, social climbers. Period. I just wish she would be a more authentic person and be honest about what she is about.
