Dr. Murray Patient -- Med Board Made 'Poor Choice'

1/12/2011 9:00 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

One of Conrad Murray's longtime patients is "pissed" with Judge Michael Pastor's decision to yank the Doc's medical license ... telling TMZ the Judge is "preventing a phenomenal doctor from working."

Robert Day -- a patient at Murray's Vegas practice -- says the judge made a "100% poor choice" because Murray "just wanted to help MJ."

Day adds, "[Murray] is the most compassionate reserved gentle giant you'll ever meet."

As we previously reported, Judge Pastor ordered the suspension of Murray's license as a condition to the Doc's bail in the Michael Jackson manslaughter case.

I'm quite sure Dr. Murray acted in an appropriate manner towards many of his patients and they most likely do hold him in high regard, that does not change however his actions in regards to MJ. Take out of this his lack of action when he found MJ in the state he did (not calling 911 immediately, having things removed from the room etc)...he NEVER should have been administering Propofol/Diprivan to ANYONE outside of a clinical/hospital setting EVER. He NEVER should have had medications shipped to his GIRLFRIENDS house. There is absolutely NO reason to ever have medications sent to any place other than a Dr's office directly, a medical facility, or veterinary office.

The facts remain he acted in a highly irregular and irresponsible manner towards one of his patients and that most likely resulted in the mans death. At ANY given time he could have refused to provide the drug to MJ, he didn't. There is NO excuse for not dialing 911 IMMEDIATELY, and there is absolutely NO reason to remove items from the room unless you are hiding something.

I think there is another family in Las Vegas, who their family member was also a patient of Conrad Murray's, who would disagree the Medical Board made a poor choice. Of course, their family member lost their life under the most compassionate reserved gentle giant's hands during surgery. (see July 2009 article here: )

Who would want to have a doctor to treat them if this doc is being involved not once but twice for killing patience! Unfortunately that family didn't have money to take legal action against this"gentle giant".

Michael had insomnia, chronically inflamed lungs and arthritis in the lower spine.
Do you know what some symptoms of insomnia are:

Racing mind
Daytime tiredness
Difficulty concentrating
Impaired Reaction Time

Now look at the the meds that where found and what they`re for:

Propofol Propofol and Lidocaine are used together. Lidocaine is not medication it is used in conjunction with Propofol

Lorazepam is used to control anxiety (for example flight fear..MJ had that and he was going to fly )
Diazepam One thing Diazepam treats is anxiety (60... prescribed/57 left
Temazepam Taken for anxiety
Trazodone (*) is an antidepressant (*)
Flomax is used to improve urination in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia
Clonazepam a drug used for the short-term relief of the symptoms of anxiety.
Tizanidine Tizanidine is used to help relax certain muscles in your body.
It relieves the spasms, cramping, and tightness of muscles caused by medical problems
such as certain injuries to the SPINE!
Hydrocodone hydrocodone is most commonly used as an intermediate centrally acting analgesic and strong COUGH suppressant.
Benoquin Is a cream Michael used for his vitiligo ( to treat the spots)

(*)There are at least 9 studies that provide evidence that insomnia is a significant risk factor for recurrent and new onset major depressive disorder.

Now, these meds are actually all referring to his insomnia, arthritis, inflamed lungs and vitiligo..

Michael Jackson: Dr. Murray Stripped of License, Held for Trial, Followed in Father’s Footsteps

"Dr. Conrad Murray has been held for trial in the manslaughter of Michael Jackson. He’s also been stripped of his medical license.

Frankly–and this is an emotional response–Murray should be tried for murder.

According to testimony, Murray had been administering Propofol to Michael for six nights a week for two months leading up to his death. Murray told this to a police detective two days after Jackson’s death.

Of all the things that have come out in the preliminary trial, this is by far the worst. Luckily, Judge Michael Pastor realized this, and took away Murray’s right to practice medicine. He deemed Murray a danger to the public. No kidding.

I’ve been thinking about the Propofol a lot recently. Twice — once in November, again in December–yours truly was given Propofol before kidney stone surgery. It was such a big deal that there were many discussions with anesthesiologists, nurses, etc. Each time it was done in a hospital operating room. This was a serious business. Anyone who’s ever been “knocked out” for surgery knows this is not to be taken lightly.

But Dr. Murray did take it lightly. He obviously saw it as an easy way to appease Michael, who was used to getting his way with other doctors. The only difference was, none of them had gone this far.

I still think it’s of no small coincidence that Dr. Murray’s father had issues prescribing medicine. As I reported in July 2009:

Dr. Murray’s biological father, whom he met at age 25, was the late Dr. Rawle Andrews of Houston, Tex. Dr. Andrews died in 2001, but was a respected Houston physician.

However: Dr. Rawle Andrews’ medical license came under review and was severely limited, according to the Texas Medical Board, from 1994 to 1999.

Dr. Andrews was found to have prescribed “controlled substances and substances with addictive potential to [two patients, names reduced to initials] for extended periods of time without adequate indication.”

Great Post Karin! Lots of good info. Unfortunately, there will always be the nay sayers out there who want to believe what they want to believe even when the truth is right in front of them.

Now all of a sudden the Coroner lied under oath?! Good Grief!

tiger is a fraud

Human Nature, you are the most ignorant fool on here. The autopsy results never stated MJ was NOT A DRUG ADDICT. Why do you feel the need to lie all the time lowlife. You're such an ubber hater who neglects her rug rats for a dead junky. mjlover4life, you give yourself way. You are ignorant and foul.

It is obvious you didn't read the results because you are not smart enough. Grammar school flunky, get a f'n grip.

An autopsy on Michael Jackson revealed that the King of Pop's emaciated body was riddled with needle marks and scars, and his head was virtually bald, it was reported today.

Jackson's body had wasted away to a mere 112 pounds, and his stomach was completely empty except for partially dissolved pills

Propofol 7 nights a week.

His hips, thighs and shoulders were covered with needle wounds, believed to have come from shots of painkillers, and he was wearing a wig when he was found because his hair had been reduced to a "peach fuzz" on his scalp, the report said

There were four fresh injections around his heart, presumably from attempts to pump adrenaline into it to jumpstart it, the paper said.

Three of them had penetrated and damaged his heart wall, while a fourth struck his ribs, the paper reported.

He also sustained several broken ribs while authorities administered CPR during his final moments Thursday.

Jackson had one spot above his left ear that was scarred and completely bald -- the apparent result of burns sustained when his hair caught fire while he was filming a Pepsi commercial in 1984.

He also had numerous other scars, apparently from plastic surgery.

In addition, he had mysterious bruises on his knees and shins and cuts on his back, possibly indicating a recent fall, the paper said.

Jackson has had two autopsies performed on him: one by the Los Angeles coroner and a private one requested by the family.

Wacko was a drug addict since 1985. Doctor shopping flunky.

Stupid, stupid wench!!

Murray may be gentle and compassionate, but he made some very poor choices himself - the worst of which was his choice to give Michael the SURGICAL ANESTHETIC propofol as a sleep aid. This is the consequence of that poor choice.

Robert Day?????????????????????
Why would TMZ take the time to interview a long time patient of dr. murray's??????????

I believe I read somewhere that Conrad Murray offers his service to low income patients. This would mean that many of his clients may now be without either low cost or free services. If this is true, that would be a shame. Likely in a routine clinic environment where he is only required to write repeat prescriptions, give out free samples, dispense advice and provide a shoulder to lean on, Murray probably is competent, with the assistance of his staff. But, geez, put him “behind the wheel” and watch out. He panics in emergency situations, he is unable to respond correctly in an emergency situation, he takes bribes, he lies and apparently he’s easily manipulated. Which is likely why he has such a loyal following. He casts out his line of being a doctor to lure in his girlfriends, hence eight children, but he doesn’t seem to take his profession very seriously (nor fatherhood); it’s just a title to impress people. When a state coroner states that the patient was in excellent health for his age and finds damning evidence of misuse of a lethal drug and gross negligence by a physician, yep, it’s time to pull the medical license pending trial results.

P.S. can the comments of Michael being an addict; he took medication as prescribed and/or "suggested" by physicians when required. I would think many of his internal organs would have shown signs of "wear and tear" if he had been hard core. He likely abused prescriptions at times to find relief from whatever plagued him, however, evidently not enough to win the title of "addict". All you tabloid readers who don't seem to get past the headlines, try to remember this little rule, "don't believe everything you read".
