Charlie Sheen: 'I'll Pay the Crew'

2/9/2011 5:30 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Charlie Sheen has notified members of the "Two and a Half Men" crew that he will pay a portion of their salaries for the two weeks the show has been down ... if CBS and Warner Bros. agree to pay the remaining portion.

TMZ has confirmed ... Charlie is saying he is ready to come back to work next week to complete the season.  We're told Charlie is upset that Warner Bros. and show creator Chuck Lorre have not offered to pay the crew for the downtime, so he's made an offer to pay 1/3 of the crew salaries if Warner Bros. and CBS each pay 1/3 as well.

A CBS exec tells TMZ ... no one on the show is ready to go back to work on Monday.  We're told under the best of circumstances the show will come back at the end of the month, assuming Charlie can handle it.

And the CBS exec adds, no one has asked the network to pay 1/3 of the crew salaries for the downtime.

A Warner Bros. exec would not address Charlie's financial offer but  told us ... "We sincerely hope that Charlie's rehab is going well.  We hope that he is healthy in the very near future and we look forward to the return of production of 'Two and a Half Men.'"

What a douche. Sober up. You screwed up and you must pay. Man up and step up. As someone in recovery, stop making excuses.

screw this. CBS should have stepped up to the plate and paid them, but I'm sure Moonvres wouldn't think of doing such a thing.

and like the other person said, they didn't work so they shouldn't expect to be paid. Hello? Welcome to the real world.

Oh yeah, he'll be all fixed up in another couple of weeks. No more buying women to be his sex slaves, no more coke, just squeaky clean. Gotta love that "home rehab."

I don't get why anyone thinks Charlie should have to pay the crew. They are free to leave and find a job elsewhere at any time. He is under no obligation to them whatsoever. As far as them writing books, etc., pffft like anything they could say would surprise anyone. Why are people so concerned about the private life of Charlie Sheen?

Haters gonna hate. I love the show and Charlie on the show. Don't care what he does anywhere else.

go home!

What an Ass Hole!! Pay a portion?! He is responsible for this show not being in production, and at a salary of $2 million an episode, he should be paying 100% to the crew. What a pig.

Half of you don't know what you're talking about. Charlie's the one who bailed on a show he was CONTRACTED to do and the crew are now making ZERO on a show they were CONTRACTED to do. Charlie should pay and IMO so should the studios.

Nut-uh. sheen is SOLELY responsible for them being out of work. He shouldn't be trying to get his bosses to pay for his screw ups. He's making more in one episode than probably the entire rest of the crew combined. He should be footing ALL of their losses.

@23I wonder if the situation was reversed, lol, how many of us regular joes would offer to pay anything? Posted at 12:46 PM on Feb 9, 2011 by FDMom5723

I wonder how many would suddenly consider Charlie's situation an illness then or those at CBS who might have partied right along with Charlie might be hanging their heads now? Certainly CBS who has been making millions were aware of Charlie's problems all along. I say good for Charlie willing to pitch in for the crew's pay. Not like Viacom isn't enjoying a profit. http://marketplace.publicradio.org/display/web/2011/01/31/pm-charlie-sheens-woes-halt-cbs-hit-show--again/

Hey, get it right--he only makes $1.8 mil an episode.
Take away the fees, agents, managers, lawyers, and how's a guy supposed to live, huh?

I hear the third he's offering to pay, is in left over coke after the rehab- it's LIKE paying for the whole time off in street value.

Enjoy Charlie while you can. He's going to kill himself with his bad choices. He really needs help. It is sad, but no one should be surprised when it happens.
