Jaime Pressly Pleads Not Guilty to DUI

2/4/2011 2:00 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Jaime Pressly doesn't think prosecutors can prove she was driving drunk on the night she was arrested for DUI -- and moments ago, the actress pled "not guilty" to the charges in an L.A. County courtroom.

As TMZ first reported, the "My Name is Earl" star was pulled over in Santa Monica on Jan. 5 for a routine traffic violation ... and during the stop, cops say they noticed signs of intoxication.

Law enforcement sources tell us Pressly's blood alcohol level was measured at .22 -- nearly three times the legal limit.

If convicted, Pressly could spend up to 6 months in jail.

Blood tests can be wrong.

About 25 years ago a friend of mine was stopped TWICE and blew both times. One time, he went to jail for DUI. The other time, they let him go. He swears he was sobor when he got the DUI and wasted when they let him go.

Like many of the others have written, how does she plan on ignoring the "fact" that her blood alcohol level was .22? Anyone else would probably have been taken to jail right then & there but she is a celebrity so. . .

it was in today's paper that she pled "not guilty" and is supposed to go to AA 2x/week. #1 Now if it's "anonymous" how does she prove she's actually went? and#2. How can you blow a .20 or .22, whatever it was, how can you be "not Guilty", only with celebs, and only in CA!

Come on people do you really think she’s putting her foot down and pleading not guilty? She is doing what she has been told to by a lawyer. They’ll wheel and deal and if it’s her first time she’ll get off with a fine as long as she doesn’t get caught for an other DUI.

That is how it would work for anyone with the money. If anything her fame my work against her because the prosecutors know what ever they do will be in the media and they might not want to look like pushovers and be hard assess with her and not give her the brakes they would with someone else.

I wish her luck and hope she has learned a lesson and never does it again.
