Gallagher Out of the Hospital, Resuming Tour

3/13/2011 3:53 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Good news for Gallgher fans -- he's out of the hospital, three days after he collapsed on stage during a show ... TMZ has learned.

0310_gallagher_ex
As TMZ first reported, the legendary comedian collapsed in Rochester, MN right in the middle of his act. His manager tells TMZ he has left the hospital and even though he canceled a few tour dates, Gallagher will be resuming his tour on March 19 in The Woodlands, TX.

Watermelons of Texas, you have been warned.

I don't really believe the crap about a heart attack. We saw him in Northern California about 10 months ago and he was not only terrible, but drunk off his ass by half way through the gig. While he continues to takes shots of tequila on stage we began placing bets on how long before he collapsed, so there you go.

Of course, because he was so terrible the audience started talking amongst themselves which only pissed him off and he started yelling at random members in the crowd. What a train wreck.

On a side note, Jennifer Coolidge (Stifler's Mom) opened for him, and she was funnier than ell. We were rolling in the isles at her act!

I don't blame TMZ for focusing on Lindsay, Charlie, Britney, Mel etc. Just scroll through a couple pages of stories. Stories like this one on Gallagher get maybe 20-30 comments while ones on those guys get hundreds. That is a clear sign to them of what their readership is interested in. TMZ is a for profit organization so more power to them.

Take care of yourself Gallagher! Slow DOWN, if that's at all possible for -you-! :-) We saw you in Kansas City a few years ago. We've never laughed so hard in my life- our chest muscles hurt for days. You must have been on stage for 4 hours; we wondered then how you did it! Take care of your health first, everything else can wait. Love love love you!!

I'm glad he's OK.

That said, not only is his "routine" as old and dated as he is, but he's a full on racis...
I mean, Tea Partier on steroids now.

He spends about half his show railing against President Obama.

Karma is a _____er.

An "act" that consists of a man sledgehammering watermelons for decades is beyond rediculous. I have seen bits of him on comedy shows over the years on TV but would never pay a cent to see this kind of juvinile crap in person. That he is able to actually make an entire career out of it boggles the mind. Let alone the awesome waste of good produce when so many people have nothing to eat. Kind of sickening really.

Sounds like he's not taking one moment for reflection, changes to his lifestyle, schedule--nothing...which means he also apparently will still continue to treat the public, when off stage, like crap--rude, ignoring their greetings, and downright belligerent.

The stories of his mistreatment of innocent interested public folks simply wanting to greet him are legendary. Good Grief Man, stop and smell the roses long enough so you dont have a repeat of whatever really happened to you on stage---either a Chuck Berry, heart attack or mini stroke, none of which is good and all of which would require you slowing down just a bit.

Recall George Carlins first heart attack, he thought all this running from show to show and working hard day and night was akin to exercise...it wasnt, and it eventually killed him, but at least he did make the changes to live a lot longer than had he not made those changes.

Take a note from the Master, Gallagher. Slow Down--and be nice to people.

No one mentioned that Rochester Minnesota is home to the Mayo Clinic. If I was on the road and had a mild heart attack, that's exactly where I'd want to be.
