But poor excuses for human beings like Mango Lady, don't understand that. They enjoy threatening people just because they're Jewish. They're racists and losers because of it.

A joke is a joke. People who think someone is mean or insensative because they make light of a situation needs to lighten up. Read it as a joke and that is all it is. If you laugh great and if not then thats fine too. I think its pretty funny! : )

We're bound to see jokes like those everywhere. There's a guy in Argentina (my home country) who has been twitting joke like those since about 30 minutes after the earthquake (saying things like he had found a Japanese guy in his bathtub or that he had gone to a sushi restaurant and the owner was throwing a bucket of water in your face so you would get a real Japanese experience...

In bad taste? Very likely. Funny? Well, many will find them funny, as you can see by reading the previous comments. I just choose not to react to them, because that's what people like Gottfried is looking for: any kind of reaction, particularly outrage. If we react, he wins.

I have always found Gottfried funny. He is brutal yes. He deals with things much like I do, with humor. You have to be able to laugh at things. also look at the addtional publicity he brings to these kind of events. He has always been able to break tension at horrible times. If you don't believe me you can even go back to 9-11, where during Comedy Central's Roast that year he was able to make the other comedians feel at ease, because someone said something.

Yes maybe the same weekend is a touch quick, but it was going to happen some time. It is life people die sometimes a horrbile death, sometimes in their sleep.
