Ochocinco to Kansas City: Don't Touch My Locker!

4/1/2011 4:20 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Chad Ochocinco is already getting territorial in his new locker room -- in fact, we're told Ocho has made it clear to his new MLS teammates ... no one better touch his locker while he's gone.

Ocho temporarily skipped town after his Sporting Kansas City trial ended on Monday -- but we're told he'll be back as soon as next week ... and wants all his stuff to stay exactly the way he left it.

Pretty demanding for a backup player.

As we previously reported, Ocho's been named an honorary SKC reserve -- which means he can train with the team ... but doesn't get paid.

Despite bench rider status -- a source close to Ocho tells us, he wants his teammates to know he's taking the soccer gig seriously.

AND THE CROWD GOES... *crickets*

Wow! A whopping TWO comments! Chad... oops, my bad... Ocho is the sports superstar of the ages! That planned reality show with his fiance Evelyn is a guaranteed hit!

Basketball Wives only wishes it had this kind of fan love. TWO whole comments (well, technically one and a half. The first one is mostly spam). But it's still all good! Ocho! Ocho! Ocho!

I applaud his effort. Too say he's awful is missing the point. He's a starting, highly paid star in the most popular professional sport in the US and he's willing to first tryout for a completely different sport (and most unpopular sport in the US) and accept a backup position at no pay! Other than American football, soccer is the toughest sport. It requires tons of stamina and cooordination. For those coming down on him and soccer, try playing with a team at full speed for 90 minutes and see how well you do. And I'm somoene who used to hate soccer.
