According to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department's website ... LiLo was in custody for almost five hours and her bail was set at $75,000.
Lindsay rode out in a black SUV, with a Sheriff's vehicle leading the way.

I'm not saying she doesn't deserve jail. She thinks she can do whatever she wants including borrowing then keeping expensive jewelry (and clothes). But that's part of what is really going to make this hard on her in a dangerously self-pitying way. Barring a successful appeal, which seems unlikely, she has a long hard road ahead of her. I hope she can make it bc deep, deep, deep, deep down inside she is a good-hearted girl. Since she is a Christian, Jesus Christ will be her best hope.
She's out pending Holley's appeal. Excellent chance she'll be back in the pokey soon enough.
I hope she dies. I am sick and tired of hearing about her non issues. She is a waste of space.
lol how embarrassing. mug shot number FIVE. That's a record and she's so young lol.
she's a good actress though. Let's hope she gets it together.....eventually lol. before its a little too late.
What a rough day, I bet she's ready for a nice stiff Vodka and Red Bull and an eightball or two.
Probably the only 5 hours she will ever do in this case. The weak judge will give her credit for that horrendous five hours and release her from any further sentence.
I would like to know how the judge determined it wasn't felony theft without viewing the stores video tape first. Seems the intent was to distract the store owner and thus makes the crime pre-meditated.
@nicole
Violation of probation is of a different animal. The time sentenced is to get the probationers attention, nothing else. She very well could get the 120 day sentence reduced via appeal (30, 45, 60...days), but confidence is high, Lindsay would have to serve the entire time. No good behavior benefit or 2x1.
How can one be convicted of a probation violation for a charge that she hasn't been convicted of yet? That's what I don't understand.
By sending her to jail on a probation violation, they're saying they've already made the decision to convict her on the necklace.
What am I missing? I mean, other than the obvious.
I don't understand why she won't go ahead and "nip" all of these legal hassles in the "bud" by accepting a "comprehensive" plea agreement. Avoiding jail time is only increasing her legal bills and getting in the way of resurrecting her acting career. She's already lost at least one movie role and will lose other unless she can address all of these uncertainties head-on.
Britney Spears might miss a lot more 'X Factor' auditions ... because she can! Simon Cowell gave Brit damn near free reign in order to sign the pop star to that $15 million deal -- but is it backfiring? We'll tell you what peeps on the set are saying.Plus, Chris Jericho's…
