Botox Mom:

I MADE IT ALL UP

FOR MONEY!

5/19/2011 10:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The woman who went on "Good Morning America," claiming she injected her 8-year-old daughter with Botox, now swears under oath ... she made the entire story up for a few hundred bucks.

Kerry Campbell Botox

TMZ has obtained a sworn declaration written by Sheena Upton, who claims she was recently approached by the British tabloid, The Sun, and asked "to play the role of Kerry Campbell" for a story called "I Give My 8-Year-Old Daughter Botox."

Upton now confesses The Sun paid her $200 adding, "I was provided with the story, instructions and a script to follow for a recorded interview."

After the story ran in The Sun, Upton says she was approached by "Good Morning America" and "Inside Edition" and claims she was offered  "a large fee" to appear on camera.  She went on both shows and re-told her story.

After the interview, child welfare officials took Upton's daughter away.

Upton now admits in her declaration, "The truth is I have never given my daughter Botox, nor allowed her to get any type of waxing, nor is she a beauty pageant contestant."

Upton says professionals agree with her declaration, because on May 17, she took her daughter to the UCLA Medical Center and says, "After my daughter received a full medical exam, the results indicated that she has not ever received treatments including Botox or other such injections."

We're told the UCLA reports were forwarded to child welfare officials, who then returned Upton's daughter to her, with the provison that a cousin would stay with her and the child for the time being.

As for "Good Morning America" -- sources connected with Upton claim she was promised $10,000 to appear.  We do not know how much she was offered for "Inside Edition."

As for the declaration -- signed under penalty of perjury -- we're told Upton wrote it so her lawyer can secure full rights to custody of her daughter.

An ABC News insider tells TMZ, "There is no truth to the story about compensation, but they did pay a broker no more than $10,000 to license photos."

UPDATE 8:20 AM PT: An ABC News spokesman tells us, "We have just seen the sworn declaration on TMZ written by Sheena Upton, a.k.a. Kerry Campbell , and are vigorously investigating her most recent statement and rapidly shifting story."

The rep continues, "Good Morning America has repeatedly questioned Upton, members of her family, and other sources who again and again stood by the Botox story."

"Good Morning America is solely interested in getting to the truth and will share with our audience any new information that we find."

Anyone defending this is an amoral idiot. A parent can lie, steal, prostitute, sell drugs, or whatever they have to to put food on the table, and hope to God the child never finds out, but you NEVER get the child involved. You NEVER teach your child to go in front of a camera and lie to the public for money. That is disgusting and disgraceful.

This child is not an actor, and neither is the mother. They went on camera and portrayed these lies (if they are lies) as TRUTH. That is NOT acting.

If anything, I hope this teaches the poor kid what happens when you lie to people. You'll eventually be exposed for the s*** you are and nobody will ever trust you again. Hopefully there will be jail time or monetary damages involved to further drive that point home.

Shame on her! Any way you look at it she abused that poor child. And the only one who suffers for it is the little girl. Suppose she is removed from the home by Social Services for her mother's swift maneuver? Her whole life would be turned upside down. All for a lousy $200. Smart move, Mom.

Did it not occur to the stupid bimbo that something like that might get her kid taken away? No way would I have done that for any amount of money. What a dummy. It's this very lack of common sense, or any sense that is why she should not get her child back.

Pacman11502, YOU are the one who is stupid and needs to shut up because you're only making a fool of yourself!

First of all, it's not only women commenting on this story, but your hate for them is obvious.

Secondly, who said that any of these people commenting bought Sun newspaper? I know I sure didn't! Yet here you are accusing people of financing this and telling them that they ought to be ashamed of themselves for doing so! Where's your proof that anybody here bought this newspaper you're so mad at them for buying?

Third of all, yes, this woman DID hurt someone. She committed fraud, but more importantly, she hurt her DAUGHTER. Whether or not it's true that she gave her daughter botox injections, she embarrassed her daughter on a global scale. What kid wouldn't be hurt by that? Yeah, "maybe that money went to put some food on the table," but you don't KNOW that for certain, do you? And even IF that's what the money was used for (which is a big "if"), parents have a responsibility to find means of providing for their children that won't HURT their children! Needing money for groceries or bills doesn't make it okay for you to exploit your kids as a means of getting that money! But who's to say that she didn't spend that money on HERSELF anyway? Can you prove that she didn't?

Finally, you might want to take your own advice about not judging others! You're calling mothers on here "bitches" just because you disagree with their comments and yet you don't think that YOU're just as judgmental as you accuse them of being? LOL! Hypocrite, woman-hater, and all-around IDIOT is what you are!

So what's next for this lady? Child prostitution for money? On a much milder scale this is what she did here--sold her child for profit!

To folks claiming that the kid isn't pageant material and that this was a clue to a hoax: Actually, she is pageant material. The shows Toddlers & Tiaras and Little Miss Perfect are too nauseating to watch, but I've read recaps with pictures and video, mainly at tvgasm (they're the snarkiest, highly recommended). There are certainly kids of her size and shape and look in those pageants. She looks fine for a kid when her mom isn't poking needles in her, but they cover up their natural faces and hair with half their body weight in makeup, hairspray, and hair pieces anyway. They even cover up their teeth with those godawful flippers (which should be classified as child abuse all by themselves). But the kids are allowed to be non-Twiggyish.

Really, all you need for those things is a pushy mom willing to spend many thousands of dollars a year on fluff, drag the child all over the country several times a month, spray toxic chemicals on her, and hop her up on Red Bull and candy to compensate for all the lost sleep and to make her preternaturally perky right before showtime. The mom here sure fits the profile. Any kid will do - the kid is just a coat rack to hang the makeup, fake tan, and expensive dresses on. One of these days a robot is going to win Little Miss Snickerdoodle Super Duper Supreme With Vanilla Fudge Sprinkles on Top - you heard it here first.

If this woman would do this for 200.00 what else is she willing to do for money involving her daughter... She was willing to put her daughter in the middle of this scenario, thus teaching her young daughter that it is ok to lie for money..She is a lousy role model and does not deserve that girl..

So...not only did The Sun ask her to pose with a syringe against her child's face but they also asked her to wear a rubber glove and hold a piece of cloth above the spot as well?

I am remembering a few other mother's that have gone on a talk show or just the news telling the entire world either someone has taken their child or the child is missing and now "oh I just did it for $200." Everyone's first thought was how could this mother put this child through this. Well, not only that take a look at what the mother has done; she has made her 8 year old out of LIAR, BEING VAIN, UNTHOUGHTFUL, ANDS JUST DOWNRIGHT UGLY. Not only should they take her child away from her but have her locked up for a minute. Look at what this woman put her family through assisting her with fraud.

Yea and I have beautiful land in Florida for you if you believe this quack!!! NEVER give this child back to her mother. That would be child abuse. If the mother lied, then she trained her daughter to lie when she was interviewed on GMA. We are becoming a crazy screwed up society when we give botox to an 8 year old. Get the shrinks ready now...she will be treatment for years searching for perfection!!

I knew the story was BS from the beginning. Her kid is too ugly to be in a beauty contest.

This STUPID & unintelligent B!tcH needs some physic help STAT! That kid should be taken away from her because she is immoral, unethically and mentally challenged to be a sound-minded parent. Plus the hag looks like Fiona (with downs on crack) from the Shrek movie!
