The Sun: Botox Mom Is Lying!!!

5/19/2011 10:16 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

U.K. newspaper The Sun is ADAMANTLY denying it scripted a fake Botox Mom story for Sheena Upton aka Kerry Campbell -- and claims they only published the story after a reporter WATCHED the woman inject her daughter.

Kerry Campbell Botox

A rep for The Sun tells TMZ ... the paper "strongly denies any suggestion it solicited or knowingly published a false story regarding Kerry Campbell and her daughter."

We broke the story ... Upton gave a sworn declaration claiming The Sun approached her and paid her $200 to "play the role of Kerry Campbell" -- a mother who injected her 8-year-old daughter with Botox for beauty pageants.

But The Sun says it didn't even break the story -- claiming they received it from a "reputable UK news agency" -- and the reporter from the agency "watched Ms. Campbell administering what appeared to be Botox to her daughter and provided compelling photographs."

The Sun says it is considering legal action.

Why would the Sun pick this person, out of all of the women with 8 yr old daughters to approach for a fake story? Is it like the lottery? She said her daughter has never been in a pagent. Surely that can be validated. Either way she is nuts and creepy and may be lying about everything.

ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

Im gonna have to go with the newpaper...if they were lying then its one hell of a lawsuit....and this stupid stupid woman should be sterilized. A peper will not publish any kind of story that would get them sued...The woman is not only unfit as a mother...she's a liar and is very desperate now after her dumb botox scam on her kid. The bitch that hard up for money that you would use your child this way! Whats next...selling the kid on the internet to some pedophile, because she would do it for cash? What an idiot!

Actually, a "peper" will publish something that would get them sued. It happens all the time. Most of the times they won't get sued or get a judgement, and they make money. They weigh the cost/benefits.

And I would like you to think about something here. Who exactly would do the suing? The mother? She agreed and got payment. The public? The UK isn't sue-happy like the US. It's win-win for them.

Good riddance!

The Sun's a lying rag on its' own and that's probably why this disgusting freak of an egg donor tried to get some money with this story. Now she is getting hammered for being completely stupid and greedy. Yeah, the Sun is ridiculous, but I don't think this psycho lady needs to be around children. At bare minimum she lied and perpetrated a hoax, but it looks like she did much worse than lying and put her poor daughter at risk. It's already proven she's at least a liar!

She has already either lied about giving her daughter botox or she has lied about lying that she gave her daughter botox, so why should we trust that she's telling the truth about the paper? She's a liar.

Not only is she a liar, but she was jailed - twice - for lying to the cops. Twice!

I dunno, Harvey, I'd think twice before posting that interview you had with her.

If asked a week ago I would have said that it would be a cold day in hell before I considered the editors of the UK Sun to have more credibility than just about anyone on earth. Now I have to say that I believe them. I think this story originates in the mind of this mother (whoever she is) and that she pursued publicity for the story and promoted it to them, staged the photos and told the lies (not the other way around) quite possibly through an intermediary of some sort.

Quite possibly she was inspired by this earlier Sun story about a botox-happy mom (which drew no attention whatsoever): http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3565711/Mum-injects-her-girl-7-with-Botox.html

@dimes [who posted] "...Not only is she a liar, but she was jailed - twice - for lying to the cops. Twice!"

Where are you getting that info.? Not that I don't believe it, but where?

Part of this story makes no sense; how could she be taking the kid to UCLA Medical Center if she's not in her custody? Besides, there is no test to determine if a person has had botox treatments.
