Fergie & Josh

Our Bodyguard Saved

a Life!

5/27/2011 3:30 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Fergie and Josh Duhamel's cross-country flight had to be diverted for a passenger's medical emergency -- and it was the couple's bodyguard who sprang into action to help save the man's life!

Sources on the late night flight from NY to LA tell us a passenger began vomiting, then had a seizure. We're told Fergie and Josh's bodyguard, Pascal -- a mountain of a man -- jumped up to help flight attendants move the passenger into the aisle.

We're told a doctor, who happened to be on board, performed CPR -- then Pascal moved the man to the back of the plane, where flight attendants attached him to a heart monitor.

The flight was diverted to Las Vegas ... and the passenger received treatment at a nearby hospital.

In true hero fashion, Pascal was mum about the incident when they got to LAX -- but Josh was quick to sing his praises.

who dat

This reminds me of that phony-azz Dr Phil story. While the bodyguard did apparently help move him, the Doctor appears to have performed the life saving CPR.

Why is the bodyguard with them to begin with? To stop Fergie from killing Josh, after Josh bangs strippers?

CANADIAN LIBERAL!

I was on a WESTJET flight when 3 different mid 20's guys on board had seizures, the guy behind us looked close to dead. We had to divert to Florida (Fort L.) and HomeLand Security removed them and their luggage, let one of the guys and his girlfriend back on.

Westjet says it was all because they drank 5 to 7 beers each! BS! I'm 114lbs and have a very low alcohol tolerance, and I have flown after drinking similar amounts without issue (other than walking)! Why wont they tell us what really happened?

I think the doctor was probably the one who saved the life, but the burly body guard was a good helper : )

How did we go from the guy having a seizure to him needing CPR? TMZ, did you embellish just a little?

So he "helped" move the guy... and that counts as saving his life? Unless the sick guy was so fat and heavy that he couldn't be moved without the bodyguards help then he actually did nothing.

This is so funny that they are saying he 'saved a life'. My husband is an ER doc and not once, but TWICE in one weekend he had to divert two planes while we were traveling and saved two lives! The odds of that happening twice within 72 hours are so slim! He wasn't on the news, didn't get any notoriety.....just a free round of beers afterward haha!
