Oksana Grigorieva

Mel Should Pay $500k

For Traumatizing My Son

8/14/2011 11:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0812-oksana-grig-mel-g-EX
Oksana Grigorieva made it clear to the family law judge Friday -- she wants a bundle from Mel Gibson, including a half a million bucks for the alleged trauma she claims Mel caused her 14-year-old son, fathered by actor Timothy Dalton.

TMZ broke the story ... Mel and Oksana met separately with the judge and a mediator Friday, trying to hammer out a settlement in the custody war that is laced with financial overtones. We're told Oksana asked for a huge amount of money for various reasons, and one involves her son Alexander (aka Sasha)

Oksana claims Mel traumatized the boy during the January 6, 2009 explosive fight, which ended with physical violence .... Oksana has alleged Mel knocked two of her teeth out, while Mel says he merely slapped her because she was out of control and endangering the baby.

Oksana claims Mel was abusive to Sasha during the argument, calling him names and scaring him so much he allegedly hid under the bed.

Oksana also claimed on another occasion Mel threw her son onto a table, but Mel's camp has denied it.

We're told Oksana and Mel are still far apart in settling the claims -- both financial and custody of Lucia -- and the mediation continues next week.

@Parker, Mel did say the tapes were edited in the interview he talked about this. Also, remember when Mel's lawyers wanted access to her computer, she dropped the DV charges. They wanted access to see if the tapes had been doctored. How do you know what to believe coming from Oxy, she has told so many different version of the same event. You can't blame her lying on the media or tabs.

@ Parker --

Because of the attack on all sides against Mr. Gibson, he could do nothing but keep his mouth shut and let it all pass over. There is no way to publicly defend yoursel****ainst any of the smear campaigns going on at the time, nor could he respond with children stuck in the middle, not only the baby, but his own family.

Please remember that the piano player is a 40-something woman who has survived in whatever rough business she does for 20 years as well. After all, the woman was handed off from David Foster for pete's sakes, so initially she had some credibility.

Thank goodness for the Gibson family that somebody was smart and tough enough to get those agreements in writing, even if the piano player did not honor them. The fact that she has not honored any agreements is enough to question her integrity and motives.

You keep saying she handed the courts tampered tapes (and the court copies are ALL that matters which is true for all evidence), but there are no statements from the courts stating that.

Had it been the case and she actually handed them falsified evidence she'd have been prosecuted for fraud BY the court. But like I said not even Mel accused her of that at any point.

Whatever so-called 'evidence' was handed over to the court is not entered into the record until it is verified. My own opinion is that the piano player knew very well that the pictures, tapes and whatever else she wanted to throw out there was not for a court of law -- it was extortion ammunition.

For true 'evidence' to be entered into the record, both sides get a chance at it. Then the judge makes a ruling on admissibility. As far as anyone can determine, no ruling has been made on admissibility yet. If the so-called 'evidence' was so compelling, you can be darned sure that the West plea would not have been allowed.

Parker OG HERSELF admitted she had edited the tapes to remove the names of people she says Mel was referring to and also HER OWN name lol!! If you take that as a basis, plus the statements of other Forensic specialists who claimed the tapes were audibly tampered with, plus also the LASD own desire to have OG charged - just a DA who didn't want to go further, then yeah, the tapes are tampered with!!
The political links OG has have managed to keep her from being charged, it was Ted Kennedy himself who got her parents into the US after they were refused Visas, after a plea from OG lol!! There is also her link to Clinton via Dalton and oh yes, lol, the Putin link!! You figure the DA was going to hand back the donation check from Eric George and charge OG, as well as upsetting all these powerful little links in between lol? Yeah, my gold mine is still for sale!!
Thousands of manhours were used by the LASD and even the FBI, hundreds of thousands of $$$$ spent from the LASD budget - they wanted her charged, the DA didn't have the balls to go through with it - that's B.A.L.L.S in case TMZ edits that out too lol!!

Parker, I could be wrong (others will correct me), but weren't the tapes released to ROL around the same time they were hand to the court. Making them imadmissable in court. Therefore I don't think the court tried to determine if the tapes had been tampered with.

@constantpeace
I think when MG said that he meant the tapes weren't in order and that you didn't hear every little bit but even Radar said they played them in order of shock value. However it was certainly continuous enough as to not change the meaning. In the interview he was trying to soften things, image-alter so he could move on professionally. Again the courts would have prosecuted her had there been tampering.

As for people attacking him, I seem to recall his fans squarely in his corner as well as many tabs.

And someone in his camp did put the baby-shaking story out there which I believed was as false then as I do now. Had she behaved that way he would have surely rushed her to the ER and certainly not allowed the mom to leave with the infant. Mel is not that helpless. His camp just didn't have much to run with.

Oksana need not be the best person in the world for her story to be true. I personally believe it based on evidence I've seen. HOWEVER had whatever she presented to the courts (which is not necessarily the same as what the tabs presented to you) been faked, then it would have been different.

Parker, let's take it from your stance. What exactly has she presented to the court that's been completely credible? The DV charge - nope, he got a slap on the wrist because he admitted he slapped her to stop her from injuring the baby. The unfit parent charge - nope, the court upheld and increased Mel's time with the child. What else did she throw on the wall hoping it would stick??? Her only "success" was the increase in child support.

constantpeace As far as I recall after the first tape was played on ROL there was all hell let loose because they were legally sealed, yet ROL went on to finish playing all the tapes they had! Since ROL and Steve Jaffe were acting as her p.r team the only way they could have gotten those tapes was from OG herself! She admitted in an interview to wiping out the names of the people she said Mel was talking about as well as removing her own name - that makes the tapes edited! She also claimed to have recorded them on her iphone as I recall lol! That they were all taped on the one night etc etc! The LASD did get her computer and her iphone, her lawyers just fought to stop them accessing certain information but she did have to hand them over as I recall!! She also claimed she sent all the copies to her sister in Russia and they had been destroyed there, when she was accused of releasing the tapes originally. Later when everyone was pointing the finger at her sister she comes out with "Oh no, I NEVER sent copy of this tape to my sister"!!
If the LASD and FBI had proof those tapes were tampered with, as she herself admitted, then they could still be admitted into testimony in court as far as I'm aware so that the Forensics people could play them and point out the edited bits to a jury and explain how they could tell they'd been altered! By playing the tapes to the public she made them and their authenticity a focal point of the later investigation so they would have had to have been authenticated!
I'm willing to be proven wrong though lol!!

Parker You say you believe the baby shaking incident was made up and that Mel was not trying to stop a hysterical OG running into the dark garden with baby Lucia in her arms and shaking her like a rag doll - right? So what was she doing just a week or two ago running around outside, hysterical and screaming with Lucia in her arms - as witnessed by the neighbours - on the day Alexander's fist went through the stained glass window at the same Sherman Oaks home hm?!
It kind of shows her histrionic tendencies doesn't it and if she did it then with witnesses, who says she didn't do it before!!

@constantpeace
It would have been a gamble to hand in fake tapes lol and I'm sure her lawyers had real audio experts look at them. I think Mel knew they were solid or he'd have cried foul at the time. I think probably Radar edited the names for legal reasons. AND had they been declared inadmissible you'd have heard about it.

But the point is the copies we heard are not what she handed over to the court.

This is what I mean by dwelling on details that aren't important and ignoring the big picture and the details that are important.

Basically it doesn't matter what was done with what WE heard (tho it's very doubtful it could be edited to change the over all meaning– altho fans were hopeful) or saw, only what the court has. Whether releasing them made them inadmissible I don't know, the courts made no statement about it.

Parker, Mel never denied the tapes but said they were edited. The interesting thing to me about the court and the tapes is that as bad as they were for Mel (from a PR/media standpoint), they were not detrimental to him in the Family Court. You are right, we don't know everything or probably even one percent of what actually transpired. The judge does and he has upheld Mel's rights in the key areas. The attornies fees are another thing.

Nice spin. Talk about concentrating on small details in order to obscure the big picture. The tapes and their authenticity were never part of the domestic violence case. If they had been and their authenticity not been put into question, CPS and the courts might have viewed them as, if not the gun, certainly a good part of the smoke. However CPS and the courts have found Mr. Gibson not to be a danger to his child. As MAC has so astutely pointed out; if the courts believed Ms Grigorieva's tales of violence, Mr. Gibson would not have been allowed to take the West Plea. If the extortion case had gone to trial, as had been the recommendation of the detective in charge of investigating the case for extortion, then there might have been real evidence released regarding whether or not the tapes were a continuous recording or a cut and past job. In either of those scenarios the ugly words would have been Mr. Gibson's, but might have had a different context.
