Bill Goldberg

I'm Finally Getting BACK IN THE RING!

8/27/2011 7:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

For the first time in 7 years ... Bill Goldberg is FINALLY GONNA WRESTLE AGAIN -- and TMZ has learned it's all to raise money for charity.

Goldberg -- the most famous Jewish wrestler of all-time -- tells us he is in negotiations to wrestle in a match in Africa next month and the proceeds will benefit various charitable organizations.

The former WWE champ and master of the Jackhammer tells us he's fired up about his triumphant return ... and has already stepped up his workouts so he can be as ripped as possible.

Goldberg adds,  "At this time, the only thing that would get me back in the ring is something that would positively impact those in need. If selling out another major event would allow me to bring a ship full of supplies to hand out to those in need, I'd say that would be very significant."

He's at a Planet Fitness, lifting things up and putting them back down.

For those with no knowledge of lifting weights "stepped us his workouts" means steroids in the butt.

Willie Goldberg is jewish? Shocked.

Isn't the most famous jewish wrestler jacob, who wrestled an angel in the bible?

Most over rated wrestler (besides the ultimate warrior) never spent much time in ring. That being said. Big Goldberg fan here (and warrior fan). Watched his first match. Good luck to him

I have to wonder who pays to see these guys who are well past their primes. He may think this will raise a lot of cash but if ya look at the Hogan/Flair show a couple years back in Australia it lost money.
I do hope that it gets some money as it sounds like a good cause

What do you call a wrestler who is no longer on steroids?

LOL. I worked out once at a fitness club catering to fine ladies and gentlemen, and grunted when pushing 400 pounds of iron, roughly 200 pounds more than any other guy there, and one of the trainers in charge of the floor scolded me, telling me I was potentially upsetting some of the clients and threatening to report me to upper management. Like so many chains of fitness clubs, they're dedicated to the concept of good health and fitness but want their clients to pursue it without sweat, blood, toil or tears, without any strain, sound or effort or willpower. The clients want the illusion and appearance of fitness without having to work for it, without the consequences. They think fitness comes in the form of a protein shake. It ain't gonna happen. All they'll get is fake and phony pretensions. Goldberg is in the wrong place. If you aren't pushing your targeted muscle group towards failure and barely overcoming it on the last rep of your set, you aren't accomplishing diddly squat. It's a culture that believes in special effects instead of reality. LOL

Maybe he should donate the profits to Bret Hart since he prematurely ended his wrestling career because he wasn't a trained wrestler and delivered an illegal blow that cost a man his livelihood? Oh yeah, never even apologized for it and Bret still has headaches and medical issues from it. Do the right thing Billy boy!

So Im a lil late in posting a comment on here about Bill Goldberg and his (one time) return to the squared circle, but much researching was needed to figure this marketing plot out, Ok so he's returning, cool!! but in Africa? correct me if im wrong but which (if any) major production plays Africa? NWA? Nope! WWE? not in over twenty years, State run production? Maybe! And which wrestler is he fighting? as of this post no one notable, at least not to get the attention of his fan base, Bill Goldberg returning to wrestling is major news if its announced on a notable wrestling program such as NWA or the WWE, not TMZ which is an Hollywood base gossip columm, Goldberg is by far NOT a Hollywood figure, Although I did like him in The Longest Yard, (pretty funny)So Goldberg? Whats the deal? if your doing a one time show to raise money for Charity, why not do a major show with a USA based production? To me I think you could really bank for your chosen charity(s).
