'Austin Powers' Villain

Convicted of Torture In Rape Case

8/29/2011 3:50 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The guy who played "Random Task" in "Austin Powers" -- the guy who throws a shoe -- has been convicted of torturing a 20-year-old woman back in 1990.

Joseph Hyungmin Son
was arrested in 2008 on suspicion of participating in a gang rape of a woman on Christmas Eve ... when DNA linked him to the crime.

According to prosecutors, Son and another man abducted the woman, dragged her into the back of a car, pistol whipped her and threatened to shoot her.

The victim claimed Son and the other man repeatedly raped her, and sexually penetrated her with a gun before releasing her in Compton naked.

Son is due back in court on September 19 for sentencing -- and faces a maximum of 15 years to life in prison.

This is why we need to televise public executions as a real deterrent to subhuman s*** like this piece of ****!15 yrs is a freaking joke!We need the guillotine, off with his head and all those that even think about committing these kinds of crimes!

People really suck. With a crime like that I'm guessin' his sentence will more on the "Life" side than on the "15-year" side. Especially since they only caught him as a cold case felon through DNA. This guy's life is over.

My sympathies to his victim, and I hope she has recovered emotionally sufficiently to get on with her life.

I wonder if he threw a shoe at her.

Life sentence = nothing to lose. Why did they have a 2 year sentence inmate as a celly w/ a lifer? Lifers should be by themselves, they've got nothing to lose if they murder their celly.
