'Modern Family' Star

Anti-Gay Chick-fil-A Meal?

9/22/2011 1:00 PM PDT BY Johnny Lopez

3:30 PM: Multiple sources close to Sarah have contacted us to say she is absolutely NOT anti-gay ... and she had no idea about Chick-fil-A's non-culinary practices. Mystery solved.

On television "Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland, 20, has two gay uncles, but in real life she just attended the grand opening of a new Chick-fil-A restaurant in Hollywood ... an evangelical Christian owned corporation which has been accused of being anti-gay.

Although Chick-fil-A has responded to the homophobic allegations by saying they "serve and value all people," they also routinely contribute to anti-gay organizations like Focus on the Family.

Pro-equality groups aren't happy about the fast food chain's latest outpost and are planning a protest in front of the new Hollywood location on Saturday.

While Sarah may not be aware of the chain's practices, TMZ contacted her rep but have not heard back.

I'm beginning to believe that everybody who works at TMZ are homosexual atheist liberals. Sounds logical from the stories they print.

TMZ you're really reaching here. The opening of this new restaurant was covered on the local news last night. Does that make these media outlets anti-gay?? To suggest she's "anti-gay" because she ate a chicken sandwich from this restaurant is irresponsible. Not to mention stupid.

This is just TMZ's way of saying that if you work in Hollywood and you don't unconditionally support every gay issue, you too will be insinuated as being "anti-gay".

TMZ gets slimier every day.

Stupid made-up, non-controversey. It's a sandwhich. Domino's support Right To Life. Does that mean I shouldn't order a pizza from them if I'm Pro Choice? It's not like they are clubbing baby seals. Their sandwhiches are good, their employees are polite and their stores are clean. They are a privately held company. I might go get a sandwhich tonight!

TMZ, this is the stupidest thing you have ever posted. She wanted a chicken sandwich and you are trying to make her look bad. Screw you TMZ go find some "real" celebrity scandal to talk about like that annoying housewife groupie.

Why is it if someone doesn't agree with something that a whole segment of the population feels is immoral and plain wrong, they are cruxified. Does everyone have to agree with TMZ on their opinion of gays and gay-marriage? NOT!!!

Chick-fil-a is an awesome place to eat. They allow everyone and anyone to eat there. If someone goes in naked gay or straight then they would probably have a problem with them. My question to you, why are you anti-Christian? Huh, why?

She's fine. If the City of Hollywood gave it the green light to build a restaurant, hire residents, and open up...then, I think TMZ, Harvey, and the PC Police can get over's a chicken place. She's a teenager, get on to a real topic of important, like Ashton Kutcher's long hair.

Yahoo, Google, Huffington/AOL, TMZ, all spots or search engines that may have owners, employees, sponsors, etc., that contribute to ultra-liberal, staunch Democratic Party causes! Including things which I may find offensive, wrong, or that go against my personal faith (Mormon, Muslim, Fundamentalist Christian, Orthodox Jew, etc.).

I will no longer patronize that site or page! Yeah, right.
I can enjoy the site, use the features, and know the things Google's owners believe in go against what I like most of the time. Ditto for TMZ, or AOL, etc.

Chick-Fil-A owners have a right to contribute, we as consumers have a right not to patronize. This teenager went to an opening of a restaurant in Hollywood, which will employee people who live and work in Hollywood and L.A. and West Hollywood - all ultra-liberal cities.

If Hollywood didn't want them in their town, as cities have done to Walmart, a protest could have emerged to prevent it.

TMZ and the worry warts need to back off...........
