'X Factor'

Parents Org Goes to FCC Over Dong-Exposing Contestant

9/23/2011 7:35 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

"X Factor" ... more like XXX Factor ... if you ask the Parents Television Council -- which is now promising to file a formal indecency complaint with the FCC over the contestant who dropped trou on stage last night.

In case you missed it -- a wannabe singer named Geo Godley whipped out his junk in the middle of his performance on the show ... and it all aired on X Factor. Producers added a graphic to cover the guy's man zone.

But PTC President Tim Winter is furious ... saying, "If Godley performed his act in public, he would have been arrested. But if he performs it in front of a Fox camera, his act is beamed via the public airwaves into every home in the nation."

He adds, "The prolonged, previously videotaped footage of a contestant dancing nude on the ‘X Factor’ stage represents a conscious decision by the producers – with the approval of the network’s broadcast standards department – to intentionally air this content in front of millions of families during hours when they knew full well that children would be watching."

"Families were led to believe the 'X Factor' would be family-friendly programming and instead were assaulted by graphic nudity."

"And while we understand the entertainment hook that comes from the occasional train wreck, something so inherently and patently offensive as this obscene performance is more than a sucker punch; it is a violation of Fox station’s broadcast licenses."

“Finally, the fact that Fox assigned a content rating of TV-PG DL for a naked man frolicking around on a stage is not just inaccurate, it is fraudulent. We call on the amorphous Content Ratings Review Board to immediately investigate this incident and hold Fox accountable for violating the spirit and the letter of the content ratings system, which can only be described at this point as rigged and blatantly inaccurate."

The producers of the X Factor are DESPERATELY trying to best Idol in the ratings, so they're doing a number of things... first, they are playing up medeocre auditions as "the best they've ever seen".. Every second audition has some judge sobbing and crying.. what a pile of crap.. the x-factor talent, so far, as NOT been anywhere near as good as idol. Secondly they're allowing a schmuck like this to carry on for his full performance, when they could have and should have stopped the performance the minute he dropped his pants. Actually why would they bother even airing this? It wasn't a live show! It never should have made the air, but of course they're willing to do anything for the almighty ratings.. Sad Sad Sad. Just because Simon Cowell touches something doesn't mean it's destined to be great.. Simon haven't you got enough money? If x-factor wants to keep me watching it, they better stop this crap.

To those of you that say we should change the channel and not let the kids watch, the damage was already done. The child had seen and questioned why that contestant pulled down his pants. I had no warning and was not expecting anything like that to happen.

The Parents Television What???? You mean two idiots with a lap top. Turn the channel. Turn it off in fact. I though it was funny and being an adult 18 to 49 I think I would win. You people sit around and wait for crap like this to happen so you can fire off one of your letters and act offended. I'm offended by the PTC thinking they have a right to program for the rest of the TV watchers. Just turn it off then. End of story.

What exactly is wrong with this? They blurred it out even with a giant X. It's interesting because I don't see them going after CBS with the Naked "2 and 1/2 men" posters all over. It's the same thing. I hope I can live to see the day when the PTC goes down in flames.

I bet all these 'parents' let their kids go on FB and browse the internet... so it's just like really? I know male anatomy is pretty offensive but REALLY? Your kids probably all jack off to porn on a daily basis so I don't see what you're protecting them from.

And why are you fighting over this? Why are there no parents making a big stinky about how crappy the education system is?

Geo is a loser for doing that. However, I also think that FOX was wrong for airing as much as they did of his 'little act'. I'm glad Paula left the room. I would have too. I think that a more appropriate way to air it was to show the initial pant drop with the X to cover his lack of manhood. Then NEVER show him again. Show the judges and audience reaction. The loser was looking for attention and the stupid producers at FOX gave it to him, They weren't smart enough to figure how to get the publicity from it, without letting the creep win. Fox should be fined and charges should be filed against the little man Geo.

Why did they let this idiot continue, the first moment he pulled out his goodies they should have escorted him out.

It wasn't even nudity! It was probably set up and the dude had shorts on. Plus, do you really think Paula Abdul is going to pretend to vomit at a real penis? Fake!!!

People blow everything out of proportion. Lady celebrities go on stage all the time in nothing but pasties and thongs and no one says anything. The producers put an image over his junk. The only ones that saw it were in the theater. And if you can't stand looking at someone's privates. GROW UP. We all have them. Do you not look at yourself in the mirror?

I say cancel X-factor. The size of your junk only matters in Aerosmith's case.

Pretty disgraceful for a family show. The Paula routine was so fake. The show is more scripted than pro wrestling. What a complete disaster.

This thing was fake. The crazy singer wore a g-string. They put the X-Factor logo over his stuff to make it look like his junk was out and the producers told Paula Abdul to go a pretend to vomit to sell the "full nudity" angle.

This show has a lot going for it, and I like it better than Idol, but there were a handful of fake/scripted moments that kind of ruined it. I like the quick pace of the show and it had some great moments. Also they should really have kept Cheryl Cole, the ***** Cat Doll broad stunk.
