A perfect example of why Lohan has no respect for authority. 5 hours equals thirty days so by that measure in her mind, even if she DOES get hit with the whole 270 day stretch, she'll only spend perhaps 48 hours actually IN jail. No wonder she doesn't take all this seriously. A no nonsense judge and tough new probation officer my hairy Irish American hind parts. Much like everything else in Hollywood this Lohan trial business is all for show. They probably should check and see if the judge in the case has a SAG card. The real story here might be that the judge came from central casting.

She doesn't make the LAPD look like idiots, this has nothing to do with them. She makes the CA justice system (especially in LA) look like a complete joke. If this had taken place somewhere else in the country, she would probably still be in jail, serving time for the initial arrest of the jewelry theft. She would have went straight to jail after the probation violation and would have gotten at least 90 days and would have served at least 1/2 of those, if not more. They need to make an example out of her, all this is doing is showing people what they can get away with and then if they don't get the same sentence as her, they can site unfair treatment of the judicial system and end up getting out anyway.

Are other people being released so quickly due to overcrowding or does her name have that much influence? Seriously, I have not seen any headlines noting how other people/criminals have been released w/such consistancy due to overcrowding in the California jail system.

I don't which is worse, Lindsey's revolving door approach to obeying the law or the California system that allows her to have the revolving door. It screams "come to Cali and do crime, we won't punish you" and Lindsey will never get it until she's six feet under.

i'm beginning to feel sorry for her again. it's come full circle now. she's got to get away from her mother and get a permanent restraining order against her father. move back to nyc. a 1 br apt. commit to a broadway show for a year. she won't need to be driving a car. get your priorities in line. no entourage bull****. even though she's an adult her parents, those two fame-sucking-aardvarks are killing her career. they give her the excuse to screw up. F hollywood. F fame. she's got more talent than just hollywood.

people need to start taking the law into their own hands because the system we have in this country is a dismal failure. this is why this country is one big crime spree. Jail is to discourage bad behavior this revolving door encourages it plus the perp is no doubt laughing all the way home.

Arrrr! I am sick of it. Why do we pay our state taxes here in California? This piece of low life trash gets away with breaking the law time and time and time again. Why? because they let her off every time! she knows even if she breaks her probation AGAIN, she will only do a few days. Once again she is laughing, because she thinks, nobody can touch me. Next time, and there will be a next time. Hit here where it will really hurt. The bank balance!
