La Toya Jackson to MSNBC

Don't Air the Doc Murray Doc

But At Least Show it to Us

11/10/2011 6:10 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

1109_latoya_launch_EX_01
La Toya Jackson is on the attack against MSNBC, claiming the Conrad Murray documentary that will air tomorrow will give "a murderer and convicted felon ... celebrity status."

La Toya fired off a letter to the network -- a letter obtained by TMZ -- in which she complains that Michael Jackson cannot defend himself against Murray's claims.  TMZ first reported, some of Murray's comments about MJ are extremely critical.

La Toya says she finds it "disgusting to permit this criminal to profit from homicidal acts that left my family without a brother, my niece and nephews without a father, my parents without a son ..."

La Toya wants the network to shelve the show, but if they don't she's asking the network to give the family an advance screening.

Dr. Conrad Murray Loses A Lawyer Amid Internal BickeringDr. Conrad Murray Loses A Lawyer Amid Internal Bickering

Dr. Conrad Murray and one of his lawyers, Michael Flanagan have parted ways, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

The cardiologist was convicted of involuntary manslaughter on Monday, in connection with the death of his former patient, pop superstar Michael Jackson. Los Angeles Judge Michael Pastor remanded Dr. Murray into custody, citing security concerns, immediately after the jury delivered the verdict.

Ed Chernoff, Dr. Murray's lead attorney, says they plan on appealing the verdict, but they will be doing now without one of their original team.

"Michael [Flanagan] wants absolutely nothing to deal with the appeal. He will most likely be at the sentencing, but after that, his work on the case is essentially over," a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. "Ed and Michael aren't even talking to each other right now, and that has been the status quo for at the past two weeks,".

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Chernoff, Dr. Murray's lead attorney, is from Houston, Texas and had been staying with Flanagan to save his client money. However, Ed moved out from Flanagan's posh digs in San Marino, just two weeks into the trial.

"Ed didn't like the way Michael was handling the prosecution witnesses. Ed felt that Michael was too abrasive and caustic with his questioning and that Michael allowed witnesses to clarify points that only helped the prosecution's case. Things were getting very tense and he's moved into a hotel in Santa Monica," an insider told RadarOnline.com about the sudden move.

Another source of strife between the former legal buddies was Flanagan's decision to order a study be done on Beagle dogs. The beagles were given propofol, to try to back up the defense's claim that Michael Jackson died at his own hand after drinking the powerful anesthetic.

"It just didn't make any sense to Ed that Michael would have a study conducted on the dogs. How are dogs and humans the same, if the defense were going to pursue that theory at trial? The D.A. actually had volunteers, including Dr. Shafer drink propofol, and their test concluded that dying from drinking propofol was nearly impossible," the insider tells RadarOnline.com.

After RadarOnline.com's exclusive report about the pooches being given propofol, animal rights group PETA demanded a federal investigation.

Read PETA's Letter To The USDA Demanding A Full Investigation

PETA (the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals organization) filed a complaint with the U.S. Department o****riculture (USDA) alleging "cruel drug toxicity tests on beagles commissioned by the defense team of Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician now on trial for his alleged role in Michael Jackson's death.

"PETA asserts that if attorneys from Flanagan, Unger, Grover & McCool did commission the tests for the drug propofol -- the toxic effects of which have been extensively studied in dogs and humans -- those tests were likely conducted in violation of the federal Animal Welfare Act's prohibition against tests on animals that duplicate previous experiments. PETA has filed a complaint with the State Bar of California as well."

Flanagan's fate was finally sealed however when he decided to go on a media blitz after Dr. Murray was convicted on Monday.

Page Six reported that Flanagan was picked up at the courthouse by a chauffeur to take him on a first class flight to New York City to appear on The Today Show. Flanagan appeared on The Today Show during the third hour, for approximately 30 seconds.

Dr. Murray will be sentenced on Tuesday, November 29.

You go Latoya!! I am sickened that they would show this and support Conrad Murray! Not to mention, now the recording conrad made of michael and several things are starting to make sense. It is starting to sound to me like a premeditated murder. I think he had alot of this planned way before Michael passed away. He also knew he would be found guilty. Why else would he have done this. This guy just gets creepier all the time. I wonder how many other patients he has done this crap too when they are heavily sedated. He said in his statement that Micheal was his friend...yeeeeeah right! Friends don't do this to friends and they don't kill their friends. Sick Bastard!

NBC Universal Paid $300k For Dr. Conrad Murray Do***entaryNBC Universal Paid $300k For Dr. Conrad Murray Do***entary

NBC Universal paid $300k for a do***entary featuring Dr. Conrad Murray discussing the death of his former patient, Michael Jackson, that is going to be broadcast on MSNBC on Friday night, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Murray was found guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of Jackson on Monday, he is currently in custody awaiting sentencing.

"NBC Universal paid the production company approximately $300k for the right to air the do***entary,” an insider tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. “Much of that money will go to pay Dr. Murray's lawyers, Ed Chernoff, Michael Flanagan, and Nareg Gourjian. If there is any money left over, it will go to Dr. Murray's current girlfriend and mother of their son, Nicole Alvarez. Dr. Murray will not directly profit from the sale of the do***entary.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the executors of Michael Jackson's Estate, John Branca and John McClain fired off a letter to NBC expressing their outrage about the do***entary.

The letter states: "No sooner was Conrad Murray ordered led away in handcuffs after his conviction on manslaughter charges in the death of Michael Jackson than we discovered your MSNBC network inexplicably will showcase him in primetime Friday night as if he is worthy of celebrity.

"Dr. Murray's victim, Michael Jackson was a loving father, an incredible talent and someone who had much left to give the world. Dr. Murray is a convicted felon who a judge felt compelled to have placed in handcuffs and jailed immediately after the jury delivered its verdict. He is not someone NBC Universal should be giving a platform on a prime-time pedestal. We demand that you exercise proper judgment and refrain from airing this program."

Dr. Murray will be sentenced on November 29, 2011, and could face four years in state prison. Dr. Murray was placed in custody immediately after the jury announced their verdict.

I will no*****ch this do***entary! First, because Murray will only say a bunch of lies with a compassionate look in his eyes, like he's the good guy; and make Michael look like the responsible one! Michael was addicted to propofol, but that doesn't excuse Murray for his actions. He knew what he was doing was illegal, and knew what the consequences would be. That's why he never kept any records, and there was so much evidence of guilty conscience in his actions. Yet, he chose to act negligently. Among many other things. Same thing if we provide drugs to a drug addicted in the street. We wouldn't be excused of the illegal act.
Second, I am sick and tired to see how people who commit crimes become rich and famous on it! I think it's morally wrong, and that we should stand for our values and make our voices heard to the networks! I will not see that do***entary, and I think the MJ Estate shoul sue either Conrad or the Network for showing that do***entary, which I am should will be a slandering of Michael Jackson's image! I also think that as part of the sentence, Conrad Murray should be prohibited to profit from any interviews, films, do***entaries, books or anything on the life and image of Michael Jackson. It's the right thing to do!

Why can't he have his say? The news channels let you and your family go on TV all the time and pretend like Michael wasn't a pedophile.

if you oppose child abuse, pass along: about a minute ago

Just a suggestion: Internet child-pornography is the FASTEST GROWING INDUSTRY, yes, INDSTRY in the world. There are real, living children behind all this; children being abused in the most horrid ways.
Why don´t you use your energy on fighting against that, instead of your campaign against Michael Jackson, who first of all is dead, and secondly wasn´t eve´n close to being a pedophile.
You are wasting your energy - or is it that it just gives you a kick TALKING about pedophelia, and you don´t give a hoot about kids being abused, huh!
