Duggar Family

Snaps Pic of Miscarried Baby

12/15/2011 3:30 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The family from TLC's "19 Kids & Counting" chose a unique way to commemorate the life of their 20th child, who passed away this week in a miscarriage -- they took an artsy picture of the fetal corpse ... and distributed it at the memorial.

Jubilee Shalom Duggar was due in April ... but Michelle Duggar suffered a miscarriage on Sunday in her 2nd trimester.

The Duggars held a memorial today at their church in Arkansas, where they distributed the above photographs -- containing messages like, "There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world."

The photos were first posted on Twitter by a family member -- and then surfaced on a fan site.

We reached out to the family for comment -- so far, no word back.

I am offended by this horrible, horrible reaction to the loss of a life. TMZ is clearly written by a man, and not by any woman who has carried and brought forth life. I also lost my child at the 5th month, and I have no photos to remember him by. And that makes me sad because his was a life and I will always remember my baby boy, just as Michelle will remember her baby girl.

These people (the Duggars) are sickos anyway so it is not surprising to see this. By the way, they did not have a "miscarriage" there is no such thing, it is called a spontaneous abortion.

The mother needs to have her thing sewed shut, and the dad needs to have his thing removed before any more little ones crawling around for the government to feed. This is disgusting.

TMZ needs to stop putting their cameras up people's asses. It is not their job to poke their noses into other's personal lives. Harvey is becoming disgusting. Perhaps TMZ needs to tell us more about Harvey and his life and follow him around 24/7. I am certain that we would then have something interesting to talk about. Leave the Duggars alone in their time of grief. At least they believe in a God and are not the simpletons that TMZ are.

What if this happened to any of you on here? Would you like people to treat you like this and say all this stuff about you?
No you would not like it, but you think it's ok for you to talk about them like this, they are people to just like all the rest of us.
And they have lost a baby, and everyone is talking about how sick they are and everything, I look on here and all I see is people making disturbing comments about them and their baby.
I don't see what their doing is so wrong. People need to get a life and quite worrying about what their doing.

How many of you have ever lost a baby?
Do you really know how it feels?
If you don't then don't judge them, because you don't know how they are feeling.
Everybody wants to talk about their religion, well at least they do stand for something good, what do you stand for?
People need to look at themselevs and stop judging everybody else and trying to run everybody else life, and maybe this world would be better off.

I can't believe you removed the pictures. You people are so full of Sh*t. You were full of Sh*t when you posted a warning on them and you're full of Sh*t for taking them down.

What a stupid story. Many, MANY families take photos of their lost babies as a way to comfort themselves and have something left as time goes on. That the Duggars are famous had nothing to do with it, and sites like this aiding in the leak are more the problem than a grieving family.

"fetal corpse"... really?? That is so cold and calloused. Where is your compassion? Regardless of what your thoughts and feelings are towards the Duggars, their child has died. No parent should ever have to go through that kind of grief.

I understand the sentiment but why take a picture and why put it on the internet ... what purpose does that serve. I do no*****ch this show but why would anyone want to bring that many children into a world as violent and unforgiving as this one.
