Elin Nordegren

I'm So Rich, I'm Building

The Same House I Knocked Down

1/9/2012 5:30 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

011012_elin_nordegren_PCN_EXElin Nordegren is SO rich -- she's basically building a replica of the multimillion dollar estate she knocked down

TMZ has obtained renderings Elin submitted to the Palm Beach County Dept. of Planning, Zoning & Building.  The exterior elevation drawing is verrrry similar to the house that was on the $12 million property before Elin razed it. Both are traditional/colonial homes with a very similar shape.  The drawing looks similar to the 9,000 square foot house that was demolished.

Elin's builder told PEOPLE the house Elin 86'd was 90 years old, didn't meet code provisions to withstand hurricanes, and was infested with termites.

Of course, the house Elin builds will be brand spanking new. The supporting documents describe the house in detail.

-- 9 bedrooms
-- 2 large living rooms
-- huge formal dining room
-- 2 kitchens
-- large pool
-- GROTTO!!!
-- pool cabana with HUGE living room
-- 2 jacuzzis
-- detached guest house with 3 bedrooms
-- 3 guest bungalows
-- wine cellar
-- ginormous master wing with crazy big walk in closet
-- basement that runs the entire length of the house

There's 120 feet of retaining walls, and they are bringing in 4100 cubic yards of soil -- which is an enormous amount.

County officials have sent the architect back to the drawing board for some changes before the plans will be approved.

So if the house was "90 years old, didn't meet code provisions to withstand hurricanes, and was infested with termites", they why did she pay 12 mil for it? For the property's dirt?

i would do the same thing if i could. i know exactly what she feels like. when the man you love and spent so much time with had dirty rotten sex with dirty rotten whores all over the place, possibly in your own home, you are going to get paranoid about what people do. i don't like used furniture, clothes, etc. if i could, i would build a brand new house so i knew it was clean - that nothing disgusting had gone on where i am trying to live. some people wouldn't want to live where murders were committed, others don't want to live where orgies happened. simple! leave her alone.

I thought she was demolishing the house in Sweden so she could move back there.

the good houses built today in florida are much safer than a 90 year old house. she's got the money, it's good to see her spending it in florida.

Want to buy a 12-foot-high fountain that features water coming out of three lions' mouths that was owned by Elin Nordegren, the ex-wife of Tiger Woods?

The concrete fountain -14 feet in diameter - is among the hundreds of items Nordegren donated to Habitat for Humanity in Martin County before her 17,000-square-foot mansion in Seminole Landing was torn down.

Habitat workers removed cabinets, brick driveway pavers, five sub-zero refrigerators, chandeliers, 14 vanities, controlled-temperature wine coolers called EuroCaves, dozens of doors and one gas range, said Bobbi Blodgett, the director of deconstruction for the non-profit organization that builds homes for the needy.

"What a wonderful thing for (Nordegren) to do. She could have tossed this stuff in the trash. The negative publicity toward her has been very unfair," she said.

Workers found extensive damage from termites and carpenter ants in the six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, kitchen and other areas in the two-story home with two elevators. County records show the home was built in 1932. Nordegren bought the house a year ago for $12.3 million.

"No wonder she tore the place down. The infestation was all over. You could put your fingers right through the wood," Blodgett said.

Workers were heartbroken that they had to leave about two dozen wooden Pella casement windows. The crank-out windows were riddled with bugs, Blodgett said.

"We probably could have got $125 each for those if they were in good condition," she said.

The items removed are being priced and will be sold at Habitat's warehouse on Bonita Street in Stuart. Blodgett guesses Nordegren's donations will bring in at least $30,000, which will go toward home building.

The Martin County Habitat has removed the insides of about 80 structures in recent years. Except for a hotel, Nordegren's house brought the biggest bounty, Blodgett said.

Someone saw her coming! lol If the house is 90-years old, and still standing; I doubt suddenly a massive hurrican is coming through and it will blow away... Will cost her probably 30-million by the time she is finsihed buying land, and building; I think that amount could have cured any termite issue...lol

Not being up up to snuff on hurricane code sounds worrisome. Infested with termites does too.

I normally avoid topic's like this but this idiot shouldn't of bought the house if it wasn't able to withstand hurricanes/had termites. I know personally if it was me I'd of found a house somewhere else. But no she's got a lot of money and stupidly feel's like she has to show it. While I HATE cheater's and by no mean's condone what tiger wood's did. I'm beginning to understand why given that. Fool has no appreciation of the money she has and deserves to lose it.
