Former NBA Star Antoine Walker

Free and Clear

in Bankruptcy Case

4/1/2012 9:10 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Antoine Walker can finally breathe easy -- he is officially done with his bankruptcy case.

The former NBA star -- who was $12.7 million in debt despite reportedly making $110 million in his NBA career -- was discharged from bankruptcy by a Federal judge on March 21.

As part of the case, Walker completed a personal finance management course on March 16, perhaps a sign he's ready to turn over a new financial leaf.

There are still some loose ends for Walker's bankruptcy trustee to clean up, the biggest one involving "Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada, Walker's ex-fiancée.

As TMZ first reported, the trustee is going after Lozada for $500,000 Walker gave to Lozada, allegedly under fraudulent terms. That case is still pending.

Good, now he can start over and rack up some more debts... starting with 6 Maseratis, a gigantic crib that he can't afford, gaudy furnishings--that he can't afford--those types love gold, black and red.

I wouldn't have discharged crap and make his useless azz work until the day he died to pay back every dime of what he owes. He needs a labotomy more than a stupid finance course.

I really wish the editors on this site would stop saying the people who file bankruptcy have completed a finance management class like they went out of their way to do this or something. As a lawyer, Harvey should be well aware that ALL people who file for bankruptcy are REQUIRED to complete a personal finance management class. It's only a sign that they have filed for bankruptcy - nothing else. (steps off soap box)

Dear Mr. Walker, I heard Evelyn is still around (just engaged)and maybe just maybe interested in starting fresh by your side. She was so loyal to your money oooops, I mean to say,to the love she had for you that she might be ready for pound 2! She is wifey material, not a gold-digger at all just a nice woman who wants to be in love and get married.

Kid's... anyone who's had a sport psychology class will tell you that the great majority of pro-ballers end up in bankruptcy. It's like 95%. No one tells you this because they want you to "live the dream" and join the team. Your agent is investing his money while you are buying a condo and home and cars you really can't afford.

110 million gone...Just sad. I could retire and not work again for less than a million.

Dear Mr. Brown, your recent application to rejoin the 99% club is under my review. Your recent travails as reported in the media notwithstanding, I require further evidence of your qualifications...I'll start with tears of contrition followed by a grumbling stomach after eating a meal one could swear had been supper. Perhaps, after the ink has dried, and the 110 million reasons that your membership should be refused, you may desire to reapply. Until then, happy job hunting and online payday loan applying.
