Tupac's Mom

Coachella Hologram

Was Frickin' AMAZING

4/16/2012 11:10 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

Afeni and Tupac Shakur
Tupac
's famously protective mother Afeni Shakur agrees with the rest of the planet -- the rapper's resurrection at Coachella this weekend ... in the form of an incredibly lifelike hologram ... was mind-blowingly awesome.

A rep for Afeni tells TMZ, she was absolutely positively THRILLED with Tupac's virtual performance -- when he appeared alongside Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg during the headlining show at Coachella last night ... walking back and forth across the stage like he was actually present.

Afeni didn't attend the performance -- but we're told she watched it unfold live on the Internet ... but while it was thrilling, the entire experience was bittersweet.

The rep says Dr. Dre asked Afeni for approval to incorporate Pac into his performance -- and she said yes. As a thank you, we're told Dre made a donation to the rapper's charity ... The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation.

TMZ also spoke with Dre's crewmate Daz Dillinger -- who tells us, Nate Dogg was originally supposed to appear as a hologram as well, but the decision was made at the last minute not to use him. Nate got a video tribute instead.

All of you dumb a** people who got something negative to say about Tupac go to he**!!! The man holds a very special place in time and his presence was definately needed to prove a point! He had plenty of songs that spoke about women should keep thier heads up when men want to treat them and thier babies like **** keep your head up! go to school be on welfare if need be but make it temporary be successful that's the greatest success. Dear mama, how many mothers out there sruggled to make ends meet for thier children rather the babies were sick, school, not the best meals, wonderful christmas's your mother always seems to manage. listen to the words in which he had spoke before you judge. obviously those who speak against him are racist or fifthy f**king rich and never went through real life. think about the goverment and the crap we as american go through. How is it that in Asia they can rebuild thier country after a bomb but here in american detroit , new orleans we can't get out stuff together to make it happen. Wake up folks it's the truth!!! Period Yeah somethings aren't so good but he do have plenty good and the truth in his words. Also, most of his rap was from his younger years of the rebel but the end was older Tupac talking check out the movie for instance there's no telling what hieghts this man could have gone...he had the ability to. As far as his mother is concern what mother stop loving thier child???? Of course she has mix feelings but maybe that was good for her to lay eyes on her baby on stage living out his dreams and after 15 years people still mourn him and haven't forgot him! R. I.P I Love You "He without sin cast the first stone" "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" Get it? Now Kepp it!

There is something inherently creepy about resurrecting the dead for "live" concert performances.

Tupac is still alive. And it's a fact. In Las Vegas you can fake your death, if 3 murder attempts were made. And he has been seen in various places, incl. Philadelphia. Where he was seen on the corner drinking a soda, smoking a cigarette and kicking it with his homies. Tupac is Tu determined to not let nobody kill him, even if it means checking in. And that's what he did.

Amazing Tupac was one of the GREATEST Rappers, it is awesome how they made it look so real. I met him and he was the kindest gentleman I never thought he would have been such a gentleman.

The hologram was so realistic that concert attendee Lindsay Lohan actually thought it was the mid-90s and that she had a career ahead of her.

So that's why there was no Nate Dogg. Why couldn't he be there as well?

Why is everyone hating? No one is holding him to be a GOD a hero or anything. We are just stating that this concert was amazing. Oh and Caucasian people don't judge a book by it's cover. Tupac was very intelligent. And so what if his mother was a black panther. What about the KKK, Aryan group, Skin heads out here. Black Panthers were'nt killing Women and children, and lynching men, burning crosses or any of that type of thugged out ****. Oh but Tupac's a Thug, and a gangsta form the hood? Come on really. People love to talk **** without looking at themselves. Has he killed anyone? No can some of you please comment without having something negative to say about anything. Oh i forgot misery loves company. I'm pretty sure the ones commenting negatively probably hate their lives. I hope you all find GOD before you die.

How miserable are some of you that you cant even appreciate an amazing piece of technology that was shown to us? You don't like Tupac? Fine. No need to bash the dead. We know how he was in media before he died and we know how he died.
No need to go into the Tupac autobiography. This is about the HOLOGRAM.
