'The Bachelor'

African Americans Will Sue --

We're Not Wanted

4/17/2012 10:50 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

"The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" are about to get a thorny rose -- in the form of a lawsuit.

We're told the 2 plaintiffs -- both African Americans -- went to a Nashville hotel to audition for the role of bachelor. Christopher Johnson -- an aspiring NFL player -- claims when he arrived a producer asked him what he was doing there.

Johnson and the other plaintiff, Nathaniel Claybrooks, both say they were taken to the side of the room and left out of the normal audition process. Neither was called back, and they believe it's because of their race.

They will be filing a class action lawsuit in federal court Wednesday AM. We're told ABC, Warner Horizon Television, Next Entertainment, NZK Productions and creator Mike Fleiss, will all be sued.

Who wouldn't sue? Why would someone ask "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" if auditions are open to "EVERYONE"....this is basic math! Sue the hell out of them!

This is a reality show. As such, it is classified as entertainment. This is not a job - it is for a part in a production. These shows have casting calls - not employment interviews. They have zero chance of winning a lawsuit like this. If so, it would impact the casting for all television and movie roles. Entertainment vehicles are cast based upon target audience. You want a black, asian, indian, etc. Bachelor or Bachelorette television competition? Pitch it to the studios. HOw about this for discrimination - why haven't we seen a 40-something bachelorette or bachelor? The oldest Bachelor has only been 40. Anyone who has ever been to a casting call can testify as to how brutal it is to even get seen. There is REAL discrimination out there. Let's focus on that. My guess, they weren't the only ones that didn't proceed further with the process.

Lawsuits? Do they really want to go down that road while supporting BET: Ms Black America, NAACP, National Black Colleges, etc. When these organizations are disbanded, then come and talk to me about discrimination.

Sounds fishy with the taken to a seperate room crap. They do realize that only 1 guy gets choosen, so all the other hundreds of guys get turned down. Such a weak lawsuit

White men and black women don't want to see a brother dry humping and bust'n slob with Becky on national TV. lol But we know they're watching a brother get down behind close doors when no one is looking. What's the #1 p0rn video that grosses 1 mil a month? Kim K and Ray J

who cares

Reminds me of when Bill Cosby was on Donahue years ago complaining their wasn't enough black actors and actresses. And someone stood up in the audience and said "Bill, what about more white people on Basketball courts". Bill fell silent on that one that question and couldn't answer it.

Sad that most of the people commenting on here can't spell. First of all, they are more than likely suing because they were left out of the audition process - not because they weren't selected. You dummies need to pay more attention in your junior college pre-law programs. Equal opportunity muthf***as!!

Nobody wants to be on that whack-ass show anyway! Scripted and shallow..

Of course they will play the race card. This is why we don't want you on TV! Get a dang job! I love this show and they have to have beautiful couples on it. So maybe they also should sue for being ugly.
