'Basketball Wives' Producers

Jennifer Williams' Suit Is a

HUGE Slap in Our Face

4/22/2012 11:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Jennifer Williams
' "face-slap" lawsuit is the giant shovel digging her reality TV grave ... TMZ has learned ... 'cause we're told "Basketball Wives" producers are PISSED!

Sources close to production tell TMZ ... Williams was already on thin ice with the show -- even before her slaptastic showdown with Nia Crooks -- but now that she has filed a lawsuit ... that ice is breaking FAST.

We're told producers think the suit is BS ... claiming Jennifer never had a problem with fighting before and insist this is a desperate publicity stunt to keep her storyline interesting -- securing her a place in season 5.

But a source tells us the stunt is not working, adding, "Filing broad lawsuits when you are as much to blame for the drama, is not the way to get your contract extended."

Ouch ... now that's gotta sting.

Sometimes it's not about securing a contract ... it's about being assaulted and wanting justice, regardless of your future on a tv show.

So Shawnee is threatening this Jennifer person that she may lose her spot on the show (her financial means) because she had legal right to hold that other low class rabid dog that assaulted her, accountable?

Shaunee, Tami, Evelyn are bullies and isn't it true that Shaunee is one of the producers or behind this show?

Now they are smearing her in the media because they don't feel that a victim has victim rights to hold an abuser accountable?

They are mad at jennifer for defending herself from being beat up. Now that makes sense. Why are they not mad a Eveyln and her assistant starting the fight with Jennifer. This makes no sense they are mad at jennifer. Its all about money and they don't care if one of their employees is getting beat up Shame on them ! Nice people!!!!

were do they get all these money to pay for lawsuits

A crime was committed! That person assaulted her on National TV. You cannot do that, you cannot just go up to a person and hit them, without being held accountable.

Why in the world would any show producers have issue with that!

Shame on the producers (ahem) Shawnee!

Fire her azz if she is too stupid to appreciate a good $$$ gig.

Everything is scripted. The fights are/were nothing more than choreographed stunts to help get ratings from those who think they're watching "reality" television. No doubt this suit will somehow work it's way into the storyline.

Dumbing down of American intelligence continues...

To Jennifer: Tell this show to PACK SAND!!!! Jen is one that doesn't need the $$, she is one of the investors of Flirty Girl fitness and has the money that these stupid ass women don't-EXCEPT Shaunie(divorce settlement, etc.) Evelyn even said that "she has MORE AUTHORITY" during this fight-that is BULLS^%T and this show has sunk to depths that even Jersey Shore hasn't reached..Jen will be FINE!!

Producers being pissed means they actually encourage the violence & if more law suits are filed & if even one were to make case law this would be bad for the reality show bizz. Again violence is never ok. Shame on the people for profiting from it. No don't watch the show.

Oh please. Since when does getting slapped in the face count as being "assaulted". I saw the video. I'm sure the woman didn't even have a mark on her after that little tap. Now that gypsy wedding fight TMZ posted the other day, THAT was assault. Those women beat the crap out of each other and didn't even call the police. This woman gets slapped (and it wasn't even a good slap either) and she's pressing charges and filing a lawsuit? Come the f_ck on. Grow some thicker skin and stop being such a baby. She pretty much challenged the woman to hit her, then cried her eyes out after it happened. SMH. Also, if getting slapped in the face causes "substantial emotional damage", then I feel sorry for this delicate little butterfly. I don't know how she makes it in the real world being that sensitive.

so, let me get this straight. Basketball Wives producers are pissed because Jennifer took legal action on a "grown woman" who put her hands on her. Abuse IS NEVER OK, and i think its shameful and SICK that these producers are basically saying violence is to be condoned on this show. Jennifer is NOT the main source of drama. That nasty h@ EV is. Jennifer, i respect you for opening your eyes. these woman are like 50 and acting like animals. Wait, my german shepards dont act like this.
