Francesca Eastwood

DEATH THREATS After

Destroying Birkin Bag

5/28/2012 12:30 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0528_francesca_eastwood_birken_bagClint Eastwood's daughter has been bombarded with vicious online death threats after she publicly demolished a $100,000 Birkin bag in the name of art, TMZ has learned.

Francesca Eastwood, star of "Mrs. Eastwood and Company," and her BF Tyler Shields took a chain saw to the pricey bag and then LIT IT ON FIRE ... which has angered dozens of fashionistas (and many who are just economically challenged).

Eastwood has been receiving death threats via Twitter and Facebook, such as:

-- "Some of us actually have to work and live check 2 check, spoiled rotten bitch to burn 100k bag."
-- "You’re a stupid whore. How f***ing dumb can you be."
-- "You should kill urself, ungrateful bitch – wasted money when families can't eat."

Sources close to Francesca tell us ... the 19-year-old said she knew people would be shocked, but never expected this level of hatred. We're told she's been telling friends ... people just don't understand art.

Oh and my favorite tweet is her comment: "Sometimes you destroy what you love..." You can't LOVE a bag, you imbecile. It doesn't feed the soul. If you read her blog, it's all about her shoes and her clothes. She has no substance.

Having read the comments so farm, I am amused 2 death!
1st off "ART" is a very nebulous term, yes the aforementioned "Piss Christ" is repugnant to Christians, but conversely the image of any fabricated deity in a non-facetious manner to me is ludicrous.

"Art" is not all "Irises" by Van Gogh, it's also "The Gross Clinic" by Thomas Eakins, it's not only "David" by Michelangelo it's also "For the Love of God" by Damien Hirst.
I myself prefer Hirst to Michelangelo any day and "Persistence of Memory" by Dali to the "Mona Lisa" by Da Vinci

2nd of all, it is her property and she can with it was she desires.

3rd this reminds me that back in 1994 when Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty as the K Foundation burned 1 Million Quid (although Drummond not regrets this action).

"Spoiled" no, "unempathetic" nope, "stupid" not even close.

Clint himself is involved in:

Artists for Peace and Justice
Best Buddies International
Best Friends Animal Society
City of Hope
Film Foundation
Image of Change
Red Cross
Unite for Japan

And I am quite sure he has instilled all of his altruistic qualities in his children and Francesca is probably no exception.

So this IS "ART", pure and simple.

What people do with their money shouldn't be anyone dang gone business! For some of u people to say your living check to check how is that Francessca problem. Only you can change your financial problem. Stop blaming other people for your problems. Her money she can do what she wants with it. No one is telling u how to spend your money.

At 19 she has $100,000 to burn? I am certain it was her dad's money or money the show put out, not hers.

The words "art/artist" and "relevant" have always been a cover for those that are neither.

If I even thought it were her hard earned money, I might just say, OK it was a statement which can be art. But it was nothing more than a stunt. And a boring 19 year old's stunt at that.

I work for a rich guy - sometimes I think he should just put his money in a pile and burn it because it would save us all a lot of trouble from the crazy things he wants that we all know are going to fail.

Three examples of people NOT making any "death threats." The closest comment having anything to do with "death" is the poster who suggested she commit suicide & even though that's over the top & cruel... it is NOT threatening in any way.

Signing up to do a "reality show" is so enticing because of the big bucks the network dangles in your face BUT the price you pay is trying to drum up ways to keep an audience entertained. Most of the ideas you try are downright STOOOPID & make you look like a total fool.

If she didn't anticipate that she'd get plenty of negative reactions for this asinine stunt then she's pretty naive.

She purchased the thing, right? Who cares what she does with it after that. It's her personal belongings.
What's dumber is that a hand bag is priced at 100k. People should be way more outraged that something that dumb costs that much.
