Usher's Stepson

Family Can't Afford to Keep

Him Alive Much Longer

7/15/2012 6:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0710_tameka_foster_usher_raymond_article_2Usher's ex-wife -- Tameka Raymond -- will be forced to take her 11-year-old son off life-support as early as next month, TMZ has learned, all because his insurance coverage is about to expire.

Sources close to the family tell TMZ ... Tameka has not lost hope that her son, Kyle Glover, can make a drastic recovery ... despite doctors declaring him brain dead last week following a jet ski accident. We're told she is telling friends ... she still believes in miracles.

According to our sources, Tameka can only keep Kyle on life-support as long as her insurance company agrees to pay ... otherwise she doesn't have the funds to cover the enormous hospital bills.

We're told the insurance company hasn't set a specific deadline, but they've made it clear ... they're only willing to shell out coverage for a couple months ... tops.

Our sources say that Usher -- who helped raise Kyle for several years -- has been incredibly supportive in this difficult time... but has NOT offered to pay for any medical bills. We're told Tameka does not see him as a viable financial option.

As TMZ first reported, Kyle was struck in the head by a jet ski while inner tubing on Lake Lanier -- doctors declared him brain dead days later.

I pray a miracle happens for them and that the little boy does wake up. However, I don't feel Usher should be pressured into paying for the hospital bills. It is the responsibility of the parents to pay for the hospital bills. Besides that, it happened while he was with his father. IF Usher chooses to pay for the bills, that will be HIS choice! He is NOT Kyle's father and should not be guilted into shouldering this responsibility. God be with them!

so sorry to Kyle's family. I understand wanting to keep him alive and hoping for miracles, but this is one miracle that will not be. I hope for strength to his family during this difficult time

It is good to see so many parents on here who have had to take their child off life support.....I mean your comments of how selfish this woman is and how she's guilting usher or using her child to get sympathy is unbelievable....if I didn't know any better I would swear that you guys live with these two people and know the ins and outs of their life....stop being ignorant and stupid...if you can't find something positive to post then don't post ****!! you don't know how she's feeling or what she's thinking...this is not about Usher...so you need to stop BASHING her over him because as much as u might be a fan of his music u don't know him either..U know what u read online or in tabloids and we all know how accurate and unbiased they are!!!!

Anyone thinking this is an accident has been completely fooled.
What has simply happened here is Usher Raymond laying his son's life (he is legally registered as the boy's father) as sacrifice to his occultic masters/gods. To attain a higher level, he must provide an innocent life from within his family, and usually it is by random selection.
Kanye paid his sacrifice - his mother. Jay-Z paid his sacrifice - first, his father when he was much younger, and then later, his nephew. Jennifer Hudson paid her sacrifice - her mother and her younger siblings. Diddy has done the same too, and he sealed it by offering his "brother" - Biggie.
Once you're a superstar, enabled by the occult masters and gods, and your talent starts to dwindle and you find that you're unable to breakthrough to that next upper echelon level, you have to sacrifice something to attain passage for onward success.
Other stars that haven't laid the sacrifice down yet are simply on the clock. Their talent and income will start to dwindle, then they will have to make a choice.

I feel for Tameka, but Kyle has a father....Why do people want to make Usher responsible....just a few months ago she was trying to keep Usher from his real children.

This is the most ridiculous story I ever heard. Total BS No hospital is going to cut off your life support becuase you can't afford the bill or becuasxe your insurance ran out. There are such things as Medicaide and public assistance for people who can't afford to pay. This is just a ploy to suck some more money out of Usher- using this fear tactic as an excuse.

This is not totally the truth...there is no coming back from being declared brain dead. One can only hope that the social workers, nurses and physicians are supportive to the family. There is not an insurance company on earth, that forces a family to take someone off the ventilator.

This story is very sad. I guess if I had the cash like usher, I would try to help out. Even if the child is not his biologically, he did help raise him for a period of time and I'm sure they bonded. I really hope for a miracle for this little boy.

for a mother, miracles can and do happen, she will hang on until the absolute end. As onlookers, we know "brain dead" means irreversible but she still sees a little boy who can overcome....thats mother's love..unyielding and powerful. Right now she is going thru so much and she probably feels that is she pulls the plug, the "would've, should've, could'ves will plaque her life forever, so she needs to see this awful journey to the end. I would hate to be placed in a position like that and i pray for the family. Granted life support is costing an obscene amount of money, but to her right now, money means absolutely nothing. She is going through the worst kind of grieving process right now and she needs compassion, love, and time.

This is such a stupid story. Does anyone really think that Usher, worth 40+ million dollars, is going to let his step son he took care of for YEARS be taken off of LIFE support because of MONEY? get outttaaaa here.

Insurance is not going to cover this injury for much longer because when a patient is brain dead there is nothing they can do, although difficult for a family, the patient has no brain activity. Period. I have seen this at the hospital before difficult to let go but it is all you can do is let go

The accident did not happen under Usher or Tameka's watch...it happened when the boy went to his biological dad's vacation. No one is at fault...it was a complete and tragic accident.

After reading some of the comments posted I am so upset. Some people can be so cruel and heartless. Tameka is faced with possibly losing her child. I can't believe people have so little compassion for others dealing with a difficult and sensitve situation. If it was your child how would you feel? I am simply saying, we should be kind to others and less judgmental. I can't imagine what she is going through right now but if you have children it is unbearable to think about losing your child. Think before you post such cruel remarks.
