'Friday' Star Tommy Lister

I Committed

$3.8 MIL Mortgage Fraud

8/31/2012 1:52 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0830_tommy_lister_article_gettyTommy "Tiny" Lister -- best known as Deebo from "Friday" -- has agreed today to plead GUILTY in federal court for conspiring to commit mortgage fraud, which led to $3.8 MILLION in losses for unsuspecting lenders.

According to the plea agreement -- obtained by TMZ -- Lister admitted to a diabolical scheme in which he and several individuals conspired to obtain four different mortgages on homes in L.A. using false information and bogus bank statements.

Lister admitted he and his co-conspirators collected mortgages worth $5.7 million -- and defaulted on all four ... costing the lenders $2.6 million.

He also admitted to withdrawing over $1.1 million in loans using the properties as collateral ... which he never paid back. All-in-all Lister has admitted swindling banks out of $3.8 million.

Lister now faces up to 5 years in federal prison. He's due in court in September.

If we lie to the government, we go to jail. If they lie to us, and they do it all the time, it’s not a problem.

Brilliant! Would you be willing to go to jail for 5 years (likely serve less than 2) for 4 million bucks?

Millions of dollars? Wow, that seems like it deserves way more time than 5 years.

It's Ironic that Lister played a prison guard in 1987's Runaway Train and now will go to prison himself. He is a big man and can defend himself but he shouldn't be surprised if he is overpowered by a group of convicts then anally sodomized just for laughs. That's how they do it in prison, this stuff is real. I wish him the best

That's all 5 years in Prison? Hope they send this CON MAN and all the rest of criminals to the battle field against the TALIBANS and leave all the good men and women soliders home with their families.

He was in an episode of Celebrity Rehab Sober house where he showed up to a party at the house and got in peoples faces acting like Mr Tough guy, he came off like a real bully. I guess he will find out if he is really tough once he gets inside prison, my guess is Mr Hollywood will be eating a tossed salad

Wow, what a hypocrite. Last year he spoke at an area high school telling students to "stay out of trouble" and to "do the right thing so as to not end up in jail." After Club Fed, it looks like he has a bright political future in Washington D.C.
