Natina Reed

Baby Daddy Kurupt

Footing the Funeral Bill

11/3/2012 10:13 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

1103-getty-natina-reed-kurupt-tmzNatina Reed's funeral is being held today in her hometown -- and TMZ has learned that rapper Kurupt, the father of her son, is covering all the expenses.

Reed -- who passed away on October 26 after she was struck by a car -- is being laid to rest at the Abundant Life Church in Lithonia, GA.

According to our sources, Kurupt -- the father of Reed's 10-year-old son Tren -- is footing the bill for the service as well as for the gathering after.

We're told Tren will remain in Kurupt's custody -- like he has for the past four years -- and that Kurupt hopes Tren will maintain a close relationship with Reed's family.

Chilli and T-Boz from TLC, rappers Big Boi, Daz and Snoop Dogg (or whatever he's calling himself these days) are all expected to be in attendance today ... as well as members of Reed's R&B group, Blaque.

that's nice that he's covering her funeral expenses... and i didn't know he already had custody of their son; in some small way i guess its good then, because his world isn't *totally* changing, as he's already used to living with his dad...
RIP Natina, you will be missed...

I usually don't like too many rapper/ hip hop artists and to be honest O really don't know very much abouy Kurupt but I admire the way he is handling this. Just because he can afford to doesn't mean he has to. Too bad more celebrities and parents in general don't put aside their differences for the sake of their children. He also made kind statements about his ex fiance and mother of his son after she died. I think he must be a great father to make sure he shows respect for his child's mother. His son will always treasure that. It's nice to see fathers step up and be a man and father. Condolences to him and his son and Natina's family.

She's baaaack

That's big of him, I'm sure it has to do with her being the mother of his son. Unfortunately she was an absentee parent. That poor boy will probably spend the rest of his life with an empty place where he was hoping his mother would give a **** about him someday. On the other hand, at least he won't have to spend the rest of his life wondering why she doesn't bother with him. What was she doing walking down a highway at night?

I will never understand why a mother gives up her child. Period. Soundslike this boy was better off with his father...as pretty as the airbrushed 90's pic of this American-African woman may be, nothing takes the place of a REAL parent. God BLESS Kurupt for being a REAL man. In a world where the black me walk away from thier offspring (oh, and white men too) to avoid responisbility

What a sad testament for the black community that it is news when a black man pays for the funeral of his babies mother. So pathetic what most blacks have done with their lives after all the sacrifices by so many before them.
