Bad Guy from 'Homeland'

Sometimes Terrorists

Are the Heroes

11/13/2012 7:55 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

WE FOUND ABU NAZIR!!! (or at least the guy who plays him on "Homeland") ... and last night, he made a very interesting comment about terrorists.

TMZ came face to face with Navid Negahban in Hollywood last night -- who seems to be a much nicer guy than the Osama Bin Laden-esque bad guy he plays on the hit Showtime series.

So, when we asked what it's like to play such a hated terrorist, we were a little shocked by his answer:

"Depends on how you look at it," Navid said ... adding, "Sometimes the terrorists in other countries are all the heroes."

He's probably right ... but it's a dicey thing to say in the US of A.

He's right. The terrorists hate us because we go into their countries, kill their civilians and try to take their natural resources. If we would leave them alone they wouldn't hate us so much.

Fire this guy immediately for those comments. You're not going to come to MY country and say that terrorists are heroes in ANY WAY!! This is just another example of why I don't want these made up Army war shows. M*A*S*H was the last good, and most realistic show, to ever be made about what it's like to be at war.

Regardless of what America does it's gonna be hated on. People should judge their own country before and if they judge others

i watched the trailer for that new movie "red dawn", imagining chris hemsworth as an iraqi (or fill-in-the-blank countryman) and the korean bad guys as the americans.... funny enough, the movie still works... its all about perspective....

The guy is right and I wish more Americans knew it. When the US is funding resistance movements to overthrow someone the US doesn't like, they are freedom fighters... like when they funded bin Laden. It's only when fighters are resisting something the US approves of that they are terrorists.

And the US also calls someone a terrorist if the US has hit his family's wedding with a drone strike, killing most of his family, and he wants revenge. Yeah, such a bad guy.

I hope that the FBI is paying attention to abu nazir navid. I would be interested in his background and connections after a statement like that.

VERY few people are outright evil. Most believe in a cause and take actions to further that cause. That doesn't mean they are correct and if they do evil things they need to be stopped and punished, but it is foolish to think they do it for no reason other than to be bad.

The man, makes an accurate point.

The Divinely-anointed House of David shall ALWAYS considered the FBI, ATF, CIA, NSA, among others,
full-fledged Terrorist Organizations: Threatening, Coercion, Harassment, Civil and Human Rights violations. Christian-children burned ALIVE at Waco.
Yet, Justice -SEVERE justice- shall prevail.

IMO this guy just has a broader world view. People in other countries do see terrorists as heroes. I remember seeing a picture of a guy that wore a shirt that celebrated the 9/11 attacks. Believe it or not, some people out there do hate the U.S.
.
The people we saw as freedom fighters in the Revolutionary War were seen as terrorists in Britain. It's all a matter of perspective.

JUST ME

HAHA it's funny that some people think that AMERICA is the land of 'freedom' and some people really think that America freed people from the dictators? i mean seriously read the American history and you will see what i'm talking about. i do believe America is number one terrorist ...look what the US did in Iraq, Afghanistan, fitnam even though they try so hard to convince the people that they only want peace!! i just hate lies and liars and i have one last thing to say: WAKE UP PEOPLE!

Uh.....that's hardly profound. On 911 when thousands of people died, some people in the Middle East cheered. That makes this guy no less of an idiot and insensitive jerk if I'm looking on him kindly. If I were more harsh I would say that he aligns himself with terrorists with remarks like that. That he is an ungrateful opportunist who comes to this country to benefit from our nasty capitalism. Fire him.
