Justin Bieber

Accused of Animal Cruelty

... By Hamster Org.

EXCLUSIVE

Justin Bieber issued a DEATH SENTENCE to his pet hamster PAC when he gave it away to a screaming fan (who promised to love and cherish it forever) outside of a concert earlier this month ... this according to the California Hamster Association (yes, there's actually a California Hamster Association).

TMZ spoke to a rep for the group ... who tells us Bieber committed an act of "animal cruelty" when he gifted away the animal ... even if his intentions were good.

The CHA tells us ... hamsters are fragile creatures that "often succumb quickly to illness and death," especially when faced with "sudden environmental change."

In short ... "The moment that hamster was handed off to a screaming girl in a harsh, frenzied environment was likely the moment it gazed at the short path to its doom."

DOOM!!!!!!

So what should Bieber have done instead? The CHA says if Justin no longer wanted the pet, he could have left it in the care of an animal shelter or rescue center ... so they could've handed it off to a responsible new owner in a safer manner.

As for PAC, he's currently alive and well in the care of Bieber's 18-year-old super-fan Tori ... who has vowed to treat the animal like a tiny rodent god.

So far, no comment for Bieber.

First off I'd like to say to all those who felt the need to chime in with comments that the entire article they're replying to is dumb, stupid, unessesary and a waste of journalism........YOU didn't have to read it. So for those who actually wanted to comment ON THE STORY itself.

I think this is ridiculous of those people. First off it's not cruelty to give or rehome and animal. It's cruel to keep and animal you don't want or can't to take care of anymore because you simply feel "obligated" to it. Secondly, this fan is so obsessed with Justin Beiber as most fans are with their idols, NOTHING would ever happen to this hamster in it's life. This girl would worship that little thing JUST BECAUSE it's Justin Beiber's even if she didn't even like hamsters. So she'd be the BEST home for this thing just because she'll do everything in her power not to let the thing get hurt or die. Second. In pet stores where hamsters are sold, being put in a box, sealed up, handed over to a seven yr old and later sucked up in a va***e cleaner is usually what happens to them. And if this "Hamster Organization" or the "National Rodent League" or whatever the hell these idiots call themselves thinks people seek out "RESONSIBLE BRREDERS" when buying hamsters......think again. PET STORES. Nasty dirty pet stores. This girl could have gone to a pet store and bought a hamster, but now that she has Justin's she doesn't have to. And lastly, I don't know why anyone would go to a local animal shelter to buy a damn hamster. Animal shelters are full of diseases, parasites, and outragiously high adoption prices. So you think it would be better to send the thing off to a place where it's full of sickly worm infested animals. Not to mention dogs barking so loudly throughout the place your ears are literally bleeding when you walk out of there? Oh yeah, a much less stressful environment. Then you can wind up with the same damn seven year old adopting the hamster, only this kid has googy-goody parents that feel they're "doing the RIGHT thing" by technically RESCUING their kid's pet. And in the end.....Pac winds up in the same damn va***e cleaner. Get a clue.

I buy a hamster every 2 weeks to feed to the python. You're right, when faced with the sudden environmental change that is the Snake's habitat, hamsters do succumb quickly to death.
